I am a psychiatrist board certified in adult and addiction psychiatry with a specialization in forensics. I cover several ERs and community clinics. Prior to and during medical school I worked as a paramedic in both urban and rural areas. Coming from a Gold star military family I have a passion for veterans Healthcare. I am a federal whistle-blower against the VAMC and have faced years of retaliation. Through my varied experiences I understand what corruption is doing to our nations Healthcare and it is time more physicians become involved in legislation, not only because we understand the needs of our communities, we have a fundamental responsibility to protect our patients. If the last two years has shown us anything, it is that we are losing our Healthcare rights in leaps and bounds because ours legislators do not understand the decisions they are being tasked with making.
  • We need more Physicians involved in Healthcare Legislation.
  • Whistle-blower protections are not being enforced and they are key to eliminating corruption.
  • Constitutional rights are being violated on many fronts and we need to fight for accountability.
Many, Healthcare, Veterans Healthcare, the Opiod epidemic, Mental Health reform, refunding/training first responders, 2nd ammendment rights, whistle-blower protections, immigration reform, addressing ground water contamination, bail reform, and protection of patient privacy and autonomy.
My parents have always been fantastic role models encouraging me to speak up, be an independent thinker, and to always let my moral compass guide me even if it isn't the "popular" thing to do.
I am honest even if it isn't what you want to hear. I stand up for what I believe in even if it costs me personally and professionally. I am a giving person. I am educated but I have ample life experience. I worked 3-4 jobs to support my education, nothing in life was handed to me. I have strong morals, values, and work ethic. As a result of the above, at the end of the day I sleep well knowing I did the best I could and always acted with integrity.
As a military family there are many events that hold meaning for us growing up. The riots in LA when I was in elementary school, the bridge collapses in Southern CA due to earth quakes, several hurricanes that devastated the Florida panhandle, Desert storm, 911 and the DC sniper in college, the list goes on.
Working at the local movie theater, 1.5yrs.
Sadly most of my reading over the last years has been academic. Knee jerk reaction is a kids book Swimmy.
This is taxing my brain but obviously a smart , strong, successful female character that enforces the law.
I do not recall and you will not trap me into suffering for hours again.
It's not that uniquely different from the Senate except in shear numbers. The House is supposed to represent a cross section of the American population and work together with the American people in mind to consider their best interests with legislature.
Not necessarily, in fact there are too many career politicians and not enough representatives that have the experiences of the average American citizen in order to act in their interest from an informed position.
Undoing the corruption that has been woven into American politics for decades.
Several including the Judicial, Healthcare, and Environmental protections.
4-8 years would be better. It takes time to learn the process and affect change.
I 100% support term limits.
I am fond of Senator Rand Paul. He has a strongly held moral belief system, he is well spoken, and this past year he has been a strong advocate for patient rights.
My daily job is to listen to my patient's struggles. They come from all walks of life. What it impresses upon me is that everyone has struggles and trauma. If society would take the time to listen to one another instead of competing for the title of "most wronged" or "biggest victim," we might actually be able to move forward productively and in a much more understanding fashion.
Society is terrible with taking a joke these days... I'll save these for my inner circle.
Yes it is necessary; equally as necessary is hearing all sides wether it changes your outlook is inconsequential. To make fair and educated decisions one must always keep an open mind.
The government spending is out of control and funds are being misallocated. Big bundle bills need to stop to put an end to this government waste.
