James Z. Davis was a judge on the Utah Court of Appeals. He was appointed to this position by Governor Michael O. Leavitt in November 1993.[1] He was retained in 2014 for a term that would have expired on January 3, 2021.[2] He retired in November 2015 and died on February 27, 2016.[3]

Education

Davis received his J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law in 1968.[1]

Military service

Davis served in the U.S. Army as military intelligence from 1968 until 1970.[1]

Davis was retained to the Utah Court of Appeals with 76.8 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [2]
