James Z. Davis was a judge on the Utah Court of Appeals. He was appointed to this position by Governor Michael O. Leavitt in November 1993. He was retained in 2014 for a term that would have expired on January 3, 2021. He retired in November 2015 and died on February 27, 2016.

Education

Davis received his J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law in 1968.

Military service

Davis served in the U.S. Army as military intelligence from 1968 until 1970.
