Gabriela Mafi is the superintendent of the Garden Grove Unified School District. Mafi was appointed superintendent in July 2013.[1] Mafi's previous career experience includes working as an assistant superintendent of secondary education, director of personnel services, and principal.[2]

Elections
Members of the Garden Grove Unified School District school board are elected to four-year terms. Two or three seats are up for election on a staggered basis every even-numbered year in November.
Three seats on the board were up for general election on November 5, 2024.

Academic performance
