Huerta sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 21st Congressional District of California. He withdrew from the race in March 2018.[1]
2016
Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rated this race as safely Republican. Incumbent David Valadao (R) defeated Emilio Huerta (D) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Valadao and Huerta defeated Daniel Parra (D) in the top-two primary on June 7, 2016.[2][3][4]
