Douglas Henry is a former Democratic member of the Tennessee State Senate, representing District 21 from 1970 to 2014.
Henry served in the Tennessee House of Representatives from 1954 to 1956.
Biography
Henry received both his bachelor's and LL.B. degrees from Vanderbilt University. His professional experience includes working as an attorney.[1]

Elections
2014
Henry announced on May 7, 2013, that he would not seek re-election in 2014. Henry's attorney, Nick Bailey, said the decision was based around his ability to devote full attention to his ailing wife, Lolly.[2][3]
2010

Henry was re-elected to the 21st District seat in 2010. Henry defeated Republican Steven Dickerson in the general election took place on November 2, 2010. According to the unofficial election results, he narrowly defeated Jeff Yarbro in the Democratic primary on August 5, 2010.[4] Yarbro announced on August 12 that he would request a recount.[5][6]

On November 7, 2006, Douglas won re-election to the 21st District Seat in the Tennessee State Senate, defeating opponent Bob Krumm (R).[7]
Douglas raised $322,608 for his campaign while Krumm raised $83,707.[8]
