Campaign themes

2016

The following issues were listed on Nana's campaign website. For a full list of campaign themes, click here.

  • Unfair trade practices from China, Korea, Canada and others that continue to cause irreparable harm to American businesses particularly in the steel industry. Fairfield, AL and many other Steel towns continue to see large scale employee layoffs and manufacturing plant closures.
  • Prescription drug overdose continue to create havoc and devastation within our families with Alabama ranked among the top three abusers of prescription drug medications.
  • College and University students continue to be cheated from a decent education by gluttonous administrators. In most big institutions, 70-85% of professors teach on part time basis, with some living in poverty. Imagine a university professor worrying about electricity and water bills as opposed to worrying about the best lecture he can offer his students. On the other hand, these same colleges spend 6-8 times more per student athlete than to educate a student. WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE ??
