John Martin was a 2016 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. Senate from Alabama. He was defeated by incumbent Richard Shelby in the March 2016 primary.[1][2]

Shelby defeated John Martin, Shadrack McGill, Jonathan McConnell and Marcus Bowman in the Republican primary on March 1, 2016.
