Al Hamburg was a 2014 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. Senate from Wyoming.[1] Charlie Hardy defeated Hamburg, Rex Wilde and William Bryk in the Democratic primary.[2]

He was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. Senate from Wyoming.

According to the Wyoming Tribune Eagle, "In 1989, he (Hamburg) was convicted of election fraud when it was discovered that he had forged the names of dead residents onto a petition to get on the ballot for the state's U.S. House race." When asked about his conviction, Hamburg said, "That was a frame-up job." Hamburg has run for a variety of political offices, but he has failed to win election.[3]

Hamburg ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. Senate, representing Wyoming. He was defeated by Tim Chesnut in the Democratic primary on August 21, 2012.[4][5]
