Unstable Element is crafted in the Inventory using 1000 ×  Element Dust. They have a "spoil" timer of two minutes and then convert into standard  Element.

Notes/Trivia

• Prior to the release of Extinction, Unstable Element takes in the form of a brown-colored version of  Polymer.
• There seems to be a bug (on some occasions) where Unstable Element doesn't spoil at all. Throw it on the ground and pick it back up again sometimes it will work.
• Due to the utilization of the Spoilage timer, Unstable Element and its corresponding Shards are negatively affected by increasing the spoilage multiplier.
