SnapSync
Exclusive for ZFS NAS! The best disaster recovery solution.
Real-time SnapSync immediately synchronizes changes to data with the destination storage. Each time data is written to the source, it is also identically written to the destination. If a disaster event occurs, Real-time SnapSync assists organizations in resuming essential data and services in the shortest time.
Why SnapSync?
The backup density and reliability of enterprise data tests the adaptability of disaster recovery. You can count on QNAP’s ZFS storage that prioritizes data integrity for high-standard reliability. Coupled with its unique SnapSync feature for data replication and synchronization, critical data is fully protected by complete and immediate replication backup. Organizations can failover the data from the secondary in the event of a disaster at the primary site – providing the strongest support for nonstop business operations and helping users prevent data loss!
SnapSync minimizes downtime and prevents data loss
SnapSync is configured through a Mirror relationship between shared folders/LUNs on primary NAS and secondary NAS. After creating SnapSync jobs, shared folders and LUNs in the secondary NAS become read-only to ensure data protection.
SnapSync used for Copy Data Management (CDM)
After synchronizing data via SnapSync from a primary to a secondary NAS, you can further conduct Snapshot Instant Clone on the secondary NAS. This assists in copy data management and data analysis without interfering with production server operations and the primary data.
QuTS hero NAS is the top choice for business storage
QuTS hero provides highly-reliable data protection:
QuTS hero
Highly-reliable NAS operating system best suited for business applications
1.SnapSync is supported by QNAP NAS models with the QuTS hero (4.5.3 or later) and QES ( v2.1.1 v11 or later) operating systems. These NAS can be paired with each other to provide the perfect backup storage solution. 2.To ensure successful synchronization of folder & file permission settings, it is strongly recommended that the SnapSync-paired NAS systems are deployed in an AD/LDAP compliant domain environment to prevent inconsistent system UIDs (especially when the paired NAS includes a QuTS hero NAS and a QES NAS).
