Clémentine de Montjoye is a senior researcher in the Africa division at Human Rights Watch. Before joining Human Rights Watch in 2019, she managed the advocacy and research at a regional organization focusing on the protection of human rights defenders in the East and Horn of Africa, based in Uganda. She also worked with a global civil society alliance in South Africa. She holds a Master’s degree in international affairs and human rights from the Paris School of International Affairs at Sciences Po. Clémentine is fluent in French and English and speaks Spanish and Kiswahili.
