Wearing the Break away from Cancer Most Courageous rider jersey he got as a consolation prize after spending most of the stage from Seaside to Paso Robles in the break, until he was caught less than 5k from the line.

The crowds in Sacramento were huge. Many many people cheering for Lance Armstrong.

Cyclelicious.

Each finishing city provides local prizes to go along with the cash provided by race organizer AEG. Clovis gave the top 3 riders straw dusters, a GREAT idea in my opinion.

When the hat was presented to Peter, he took off his sponsor ballcap and tried to put the cowboy hat on BACKWARDS. After he heard all the good natured shouting from the crowd he put it on properly.

Amgen Tour of California, stage 4, Sonora-Clovis, the race's longest, and very close to hottest day.

A break from the national parks in Utah. Caught the Tour of California in Livermore today. If you've ever seen a bike race, these guys just fly by. Glad the camera captures them speeding past me!
