How Do I Remove iPhone Backup Encryption Password in iTunes

Why iTunes Asking for a Password Even You Never Set Up such One?

No clear and unified answer for this question but many said that it is because the iPhone backup has a bug. One user said: “I can say this because I have days trying to access the backup of my iPhone and every time it ask me for a password, I don't remember typing a password. I try a lot of different passwords and they don't work, because the file is over 1.2GB of size I have to wait more than 20 minutes between asking another time for the correct password.”

How to Remove the Unknown iTunes Backup Password?

A great utility to remove the annoying iPhone backup password is Tenorshare iPhone Backup Password Recovery. It only works with windows, to learn how to remove iPhone backup password on Mac .

Tip: If you cannot use this tool to recover iPhone backup password, try to unplug your iPhone then hold down the center button for about 25 seconds until the phone went blank. After doing this, you never got asked for a password on the backup file of your iPhone again.

	kswizhcje says: You can only remove the password before entering the right one to unlock it. Or you will lost the entire backup file. Fortunately, there is a way to find the password with UUkeys. It released an iTunes Backup Unlocker app recently and you can let the program to unlock iTunes backup password for you. 	tinallsoban says: The "battery trick" isn't good, at the end of the process nothing was restored. As someone said in previous topics, you must try again and again for passwords because its a SERVER problem; also if the password is right you can receive back an error; be patient and try again later. By the way, I was using iSeePassword iTunes password recovery tool to unlock my iTunes backup password, it works. www.iseepassword.com/unlock-iphone-ipad-backup-password.html after two hours, I was luck and find my password. 100 months ago (permalink)
