THE MIRROR OF CONSCIOUSNESS

 

THE DREAM WEAVER AND THE MIRROR

What do you see when you look into the mirror upon waking up each morning? Do you see a façade hiding the real you, or do you see the state of your soul? What does one see upon looking into the depths of one’s heart when approaching the end of a life? Has one learned anything? Your progress and the state of your soul are reflected in your face and in your heart. You are a work in progress.

Whatever you see, it is what you have constructed for yourself. The substance from which you have constructed it is pure consciousness. That is the same for everyone; and, likewise, when we have become what we are being created to be, we are again equal, this is the way in which all human beings are created equal. It is blatantly obvious that we are not equal in every way in this world. We are not physically, mentally, and spiritually equal at any given point in life. We are all part of a work in progress.

So think carefully about what you are creating, and chose well: Don’t choose to create a place where malevolent thoughts lurk in the darkness of a hovel of depravity, dissipation, and defeat. Create within your consciousness, a temple of love and light, a palace for the Infinite, an edifice of brilliance, victory, transformation, and transcendence, because the world of your conscious construction is your home as long as you are a work in progress.

For analogy, think of the world as the canvas, and your actions as brush strokes, and the painting as the soul you are creating. Eventually, you must realize that you are the canvas, the brush, the paints, and the painter. But for the time being, the inescapable now, you are a work in progress.

Your consciousness is like a reflection of the moon on the surface of a pool of water, the slightest breeze ruffles and distorts it. It is only when you still the pool deep within your heart, that you can begin to see the real image. And that is just the first step on the journey of a million spiritual miles, to not only see a clear image, but to find the source of the image, the moon, the sun, the universe, the cosmos - and beyond. You are a work in progress.

You are the Dream Weaver. You will eventually learn that you are not just the fleeting persona that you have created through your actions and reactions, whether it has taken one or many lives in this and other worlds to create, you are the Reality behind your consciousness at any and every point in the process. Only when you realize this, will you fully understand that time and space are illusions. Space-time, as Einstein showed us, is not a universal framework within which everything happens, as it seems, it is just a reflection on the illusory surface of the pool of consciousness, an interface between your finite consciousness, that which you pretend to be, and the Infinitely Continuous Reality from which you have consciously separated yourself. It is malleable and insubstantial. It is an illusion reflecting the image of a work in progress.

If you feel proud or angry, or uncomfortable, or disappointed; perhaps even ashamed of what you think you are, remember that you have created what you are yourself, and that you can change it within the bounds of the laws of nature, if you want to. Recall that you are potentially perfect. You are a work in progress.

At some point, you may come to realize that there is nothing to be concerned about. Reality, and everything within it, is evolving according to universal laws, whether we are aware of them or not. At any point, the universe, and your experience of it, are exactly what they are supposed to be. Whether you know it or not, the universe is evolving toward an unimaginable goal, through a series of necessary steps, whether you know it or not. The universe is a work in progress.

If you just came into being when your body formed in your mother’s womb, you are a rarity. Most of us have been around much longer than that. The biggest secret of all, in this world - a secret willfully hidden and passively accepted - is the fact that we are immortal souls. We are born and die again and again, with memories of many lives and many loves, that fade like dreams in the harsh light of this life, as we embark upon another opportunity to be a work in  progress.

There is considerable shock and trauma when your soul is being born into, and confined in, a helpless little body, and after a while expelled from a sick and dying body, as the stuff of which that body is made is destroyed, or begins to decay and be recycled. That is what causes most of the forgetfulness. Most of the superficial details of the persona associated with a given body effectively dies with the brain cells of that body, but the lessons of the spirit remain with the soul to become the core of the next cycle of your work in progress.

For now, many, if not most of us, are enthralled with the drama of life on this planet. It is a captivating story, and even the misery and suffering of physical life, providing contrast, as it does, with the joy and ecstasy natural to Spiritual existence, are endurable. In fact, in my experience, the worse the suffering, the greater the joy of winning victory over that pain, against all odds! And once we realize that every new victory can be greater and more important than the last, we actually enjoy the drama of being a work in progress.

However, if we eventually tire of the endless cycles of physical reality, and begin to want to transcend the cycles of birth and death, of alternating pleasure and pain, then we begin to identify more and more with the eternal spiritual reality at the core of our existence, and less and less with the physical, mental, and astral personas of the ever-changing reflections on the surfaces of Reality. If we can see that the most important lesson to be learned is how to be truly free, and that the goal of existence is to wake from the dreams of our own making, then our lives will be transformed, the work in progress will be on its way to completion, and you, the Dream Weaver, will at last transcend your dreams.

THE PROBLEM OF IDENTIFICATION



HOW DO YOU IDENTIFY YOURSELF?

The great Masters of Wisdom of all times have warned us against identification with the things of the material world as opposed to identification with the spiritual Source of our being. They state, in no uncertain terms, that endless suffering and death are the wages of sin. But was is sin? The definition has become blurred by so-called religious and political science. Let’s be clear: Sin arises easily in those who reject the Oneness of Spiritual Consciousness in favor of identification with limiting concepts of selfish desire for things.


Identity politics is all the rage right now. Why is that? It is the symptom of a disease far more deadly that the effects of the COVID-19 virus! It is a disease that darkens the heart and clouds the mind. The partisan politician’s most effective tool, It pulls millions either to the left or right so far, that once good people, capable of love and cooperation, begin to hate each other. This is the primary MO of evil! And each extreme side blames the other, not realizing that they themselves are the problem!


We ask, what’s the antidote? The answer is simple and obvious, but extremely difficult to implement. It’s love and compassion. But love and compassion can’t be legislated or forced on one extreme by the other. It must start in the heart by rejecting being the willing pawn of any political party. The political parties right now are trying to pull the people toward ideologies that we know have failed in the past. Why do we pretend that they might succeed now or in the future? That’s insanity! The thing that has succeeded better than any form of government in the history of the human race is what we have in the US, at least in theory: Freedom. Freedom of expression, freedom of thought, freedom of action that does no harm. Identity politics promotes the exact opposite.


Tune out about 99% 0f the talking heads on your TV screen. They are willing promoters of the insanity! Look for the few who honestly try to present both sides of the story, unconcerned about the horrible names and vicious attacks the partisans on both sides will certainly hurl at them. Do your own research as much as you possibly can. Look for real evidence and data, and don’t allow yourself to interpret it in ways that make it seem to say what you think you might want it to say.


We live in unsettled and unsettling times, but I believe the craziness, violence, and verbal attacks will be seen in a few years to have been birth pangs related to the emergence of a new level of human consciousness. Neither left nor right, republican or democrat, but a new form of universal equality born of identification with the true spiritual nature of reality and free of both blame and guilt, a true dawning of freedom and opportunity for all.

A SCIENTIFIC MYSTIC'S MANIFESTO



DEATH AS AN ESCAPE? THANKS BUT NO THANKS!

I am not an average human being. Nowhere near the mean. But is that really a good thing? That’s for you to decide. I have been ill for several days now, nearly three months after being on a crowded flight from Eastern Europe just after the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic, followed by months of almost total isolation. I finally came down with the flu, at least a flu; I’ve not been tested. But here are some thoughts about what I’ve experienced.


Anyone who has had a serious bout of the flu, regardless of which one, knows that you reach a point where you feel that you would have to get better to die! You will shout out to God, whether or not you believe there is one, with something like: “OH God! Why do I have to suffer like this?


When I reached this point, I dug in my heels, and said: “NO DAMN WAY! I am not going out this way! Nowhere is it written that I have to leave this world in mind-numbing pain and suffering! When the time comes, if it must, to leave my body, It is my intention to leave it consciously, in peace, without pain, suffering, or remorse. I intend to leave with a clean slate, an honest report that I have done with what I was given, the best I possibly could. That I reached my earthly potential, and am ready to move on.


Is this arrogance? Must I surrender to the fate of nearly everyone else? Is that the will of God? I don’t think so! Would a loving Father want pain and suffering for his child? I think not! Especially when I am told that He, in the form of a special incarnation, has done that for me. Must we surrender to the will of the author of this creation? Yes, of course, but in my opinion, it is much better to do it before you find yourself at Death’s door in pain and suffering.


He sent me here with specific things that I need to do. And I’m not leaving until they are done! Even when my beloved wife Jacqui had to leave, she said to me: “You must finish our job!” She even found a way to send me that message after her dear body had been cremated. In a message delivered through a triple-blind scientific experiment, she declared, with a statement and a promise: “Yes, I came to help you while I was alive, and I’m not going to stop just because I died!”


So, I’m sorry, Death Angel, thanks, but no thanks! I’m not ready to go yet. I’ll let you know when I’m ready to cross over to that other shore.

TIME TO MOVE ON




IT IS TIME TO MOVE ON


People are tired of hearing endless analyses of the evil they are experiencing every day. So I will move on. Let’s talk about Life. I hear someone say: Boring! We all experience life every day. But do we really? Or do we just go through the motions of living, on auto pilot until we are eventually faced with the reality of our own death? Somehow, we don’t seem to realize that birth, life and death are all part of the same thing. Is the experience of birth is deliberately forgotten because it was awful, with traumatic pain and suffering, and is death feared because we think it will also be an awful experience of traumatic pain and suffering?


What if we could become a dispassionate witness, watching the whole process, without being emotionally identified with the physical form, which we imagine to be experiencing severe pain and awful fear of what may happen next? What would we learn? I have come to believe that we would learn that we are not just the physical bodies that we currently identify as ourselves. I think we would come to realize that we are actually immortal spiritual beings that happen to be inhabiting physical bodies for a brief time on this planet. And we might even learn why this is happening to us, and what the purpose of the whole process may be. If I am right, then our fear and worry about death and dying is a waste of time. There is no reason to fear death and the pain we associate with it. They are just part of the whole process of spiritual evolution.


So, let’s get on with life. No one, not even the rich and powerful, or the government, have the right, or the power to bully us into submission, unless we give it to them. We are Children of the Most-High, the Primary form of Consciousness, and responsible for our own fate. So let’s get on with it!

WHY DO WE AND OUR LOVED ONES HAVE TO SUFFER AND DIE?



WHY DO WE FACE A DEATH SENTENCE FROM THE DAY WE ARE BORN?

A Facebook friend has asked a question:


Maybe you can explain the reason for the mandatory death of a person – you, your parents, your children and all others?” - Valery Chuprin



I Believe that this is an important question, and that there is a good answer to this question. Here’s my answer:


It seems that we enter this world through pain and suffering, that of ourselves and of our mothers, knowing not where we came from, or why we are here. But we soon see that other people, like mother, father, sisters, and brothers, relatives and non-relatives, all die sooner or later, and by inference, we come to realize that our ultimate fate will most likely also be death, by some form of bodily destruction: accident, disease or old age.


It seems that we are painfully born into an on-going story - not of our making - but in which we must act and interact, and over which we have little or no control, and from which we will depart in pain and suffering again. It is reasonable to ask: what is the reason for this? It seems very unfair.


One answer, put forth by some, is that there is no answer, no reason. Our existence is an accident brought about by random events, and our experience of the world is ultimately meaningless. Examples of this thinking:


Shakespeare’s Macbeth (Act II, Scene I) : "Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more: it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."


About the fate of man, based on the second law of thermodynamics, the British philosopher Bertrand Russell said he believed that: “…his origin, his growth, his hopes and fears, his loves and his beliefs are but the outcome of accidental collocations of atoms; that no fire, no heroism, no intensity of thought and feeling can preserve an individual life beyond the grave; that all the labour of the ages, all the devotion, all the inspiration, all the noonday brightness of human genius are destined to extinction in the vast death of the solar system, and that the whole temple of Man's achievement must inevitably be buried beneath the debris of a universe in ruins.”


The attitude of Shakespeare’s character and England’s Nobel laurate philosopher, is echoed and updated to modern physics in America’s Nobel Prize-winning physicist Steven Weinberg’s statement: “The more the universe seems comprehensible, the more it also seems pointless.” This is by far the dominant hypothesis of modern science.


While, as a physicist, I respect Steven Weinberg and agree with some of his views, I do not agree with this conclusion that reality is meaningless. My reasons for not agreeing are both scientific and experiential. The scientific reason first: In 1989 I developed a system of mathematical logic I call the calculus of distinctions. Applying it to certain popular scientific hypotheses, like the big bang, expanding universe theory, and Olber’s paradox, I discovered some logical contradictions that led to the realization that the calculus of Newton and Leibniz was inappropriate for application to quantum phenomena. Deriving a three-dimensional quantum equivalence unit that I called the triadic rotational unit of equivalence (TRUE), and using it as the basic unit of a new calculus, I developed a quantum mathematics that I call the calculus of dimensional distinctions (CoDD). In this system of quantum mathematical logic, all descriptions of physical phenomena are in the form of Diophantine equations; i.e., equations whose meaningful quantum solutions are integral.


In 2008, I joined forces with Dr. Vernon Neppe, a true polymath, who, among other things is a neuroscientist, to develop a comprehensive new paradigm we call the Triadic Dimensional Vortical Paradigm. In 2010, we began explaining some experimental observations that have no viable explanation in the current mainstream physical paradigm, such as why the elementary particles that form the atoms of the periodic table, have a ½ intrinsic spin, why the quark “mixing angle” is exactly what it is, and why quarks combine in threes to form protons and neutrons.  


Applying the CoDD to the description of known atomic structure in 2012, I discovered there would be no stable atoms without the existence of a non-physical form that organizes otherwise sterile physical particles into meaningful structures consistent with the logic of consciousness, supportive of organic life, the vehicle through which consciousness expresses itself in the physical universe. This was something new, something unknown to modern science to this point, so we had to represent it unambiguously, and Dr. Neppe suggested calling it “gimmel” the third letter of the Hebrew alphabet, for a number of reasons. The discovery of gimmel changed everything. It reveals that consciousness is just as much a part of reality as matter and energy; in fact, it is not only fundamental, it is primary in the formation of the physical structures of the universe. Importantly, as the primary form of the triad of mass, energy and mind, consciousness, like mass and energy obeys the law of conservation of the substance of reality. This means that consciousness, like mass and energy, can undergo changes, but cannot be destroyed. With consciousness as the primary form, guiding elementary particles to form meaningful physical structures, all evolution is driven by the mathematical logic of consciousness, known traditionally as spirit.


Now, I can introduce the second reason I cannot agree with the hypothesis that existence is meaningless: the conscious experience of spiritual phenomena. Many people, including me, have had near-death experiences (NDEs) out-of-body experiences (OBEs), and pre-birth memories that have been corroborated and validated by objective observation. Some have had transcendental or mystical experiences. The discovery of gimmel and its mathematical relation to consciousness provides the scientific basis for the study of such experiences and the functioning of consciousness in the physical domain, including real NDE and OBE experiences such as seeing objects and events while outside the body, that can be validated later, and the reality of the survival of consciousness beyond the experience of the death of the physical body. The discovery of gimmel puts consciousness into the equations of physics. Thus we have a new science that transcends physical science. Such studies and experiments are being conducted in a few laboratories around the world now.


So, to answer my friend Valery’s question: I explain the death of the physical bodies of our loved ones and our selves as part of the spiritual journey of individualized consciousness. I discuss this in some of my posts, and in  much more detail in Secrets of the Sacred Cube, a Cosmic Love Story, the forth-coming book by my late wife Jacqui and myself. The book is in the final stages of production and should be available shortly.


Why do we have to suffer and die? To learn, and grow spiritually, to transcend the physical. You may not remember, but you chose to be born, to experience the dualities of pleasure and pain. the one does not exist without the other. Identification with the physical body brings both pleasure and pain, Through this process, we learn that we are not the body, we are eternal spirit, growing from the confinement of the finite body, through Christ Consciousness, to Cosmic Consciousness.

WHAT IS LIFE?

Life is what happens between the two extremely traumatic experiences called birth and death. Because the beginning and eventual end of life are so traumatic, they are all but eliminated from conscious memory. Most of us are programmed by society and by fear to think of one who tries to remember his or her actual birth experience as weird, and anyone who thinks about his or her own death as morose and unnaturally preoccupied with death. But is this aversion to studying and learning about the experiences of birth and death rational? I don’t think so. It is likely that one cannot fully understand what life is, without knowing something about what surrounds it. On a planet that is billions of years old, in a universe that is even older, the duration of one human life is a very, very short experience. Is it really all there is for you?


Why are the first and last steps in the journey of physical life considered to be so unpleasant that to even think about them is to be avoided at all costs? It is because of an unnecessarily emotional attachment to the physical body and identification with the purely physical aspects of being, to the exclusion of everything else. Of course, the physical processes of birth and death are very messy. They often involve intense pain and the unsavory mixing of  blood and feces and other vital bodily fluids in a horrifying manner over which we have no control. In easier phases of life, when we have good health and a clear mind, we tend to maintain a detached position, as uninvolved with the grubby details of physical life as possible. Most of the physical processes of the body, like breathing, blood circulation, digesting of food and elimination of wastes, are carried out automatically. We rarely think about them at all, and then only if absolutely necessary.


During most of our lives, we are creatures of habit, performing most of our daily activities without thinking much about what we are, where we came from and where we are going. We avoid thinking about the physical aspects of the transitional stages at the beginning and ending times of birth and death. At those times we imagine that we must be fighting for life, trying either to get the involuntary processes going or keep them going, struggling with all our strength to get away from pain and the fear of ceasing to exist. But, is this fear based on the reality of the processes involved, or our imagination of what we think they must be like? Is such abject fear warranted? Those who remember going through these processes, almost without exception, say no. Most who report out-of-body experiences (OBEs) like near-death experiences (NDEs), or return- from-death experiences (RFDEs), tell us that leaving the body is actually a relief from anxiety and pain, and sometimes even a euphoric and blissful experience, not a horrible descent into nightmares or nothingness.


These reports of OBEs and NDEs, called psi phenomena by parapsychologists, are considered by most mainstream scientists today to be questionable claims, even though they have been documented and studied by independent researchers in Europe and the US for more than 100 years, and are, and have been accepted as real in many other parts of the world for centuries. In Wikipedia, we find the following definitions are offered:


Psi is the twenty-third letter of the Greek alphabet, and was probably selected to represent paranormal phenomena as a shortened form of the word psychic. Parapsychology is the study of paranormal and psychic phenomena, including telepathy, precognition, clairvoyance, psychokinesis, NDEs, reincarnation, apparitional experiences, and other paranormal claims. It is identified as pseudoscience by a vast majority of mainstream scientists”.


If you have been reading my posts for the past couple of years, you know that because of my experiences and recent research, I do not share the view of most mainstream scientists. In this post, I’m introducing my own classification of OBEs, for reasons that I will explain below. Also, see my definitions of OBEs and NDEs in the second to last post below on this blog, "DESCRIBING THE TRUE NATURE OF REALITY". In my opinion, all OBEs, if real, are evidence of survival of individual consciousness outside the environment of a physical body, and they are suggestive of the possibility that in some form, every conscious being has already existed before birth, and will continue to exist after death. From reading accounts written by those who have experienced consciousness outside of their physical bodies, and from personal experiences and studies, I think life, and what goes before and after it, are just different experiences of one thing: consciousness. And I agree with Erwin Schӧdinger, who, in his book What is Life? said there is no evidence that the consciousness we experience is plural:


“It is not possible (my emphasis) that this unity of knowledge, feeling and choice which you call your own should have sprung into being from nothingness at a given moment not so long ago; rather this knowledge, feeling and choice are essentially eternal and unchangeable and numerically one in all men, nay in all sensitive beings”.


If the core reality of consciousness, devoid of personal and cultural overlays impressed upon it by the experiences of a given life, is eternal, unchangeable and numerically one in all sentient beings, then it is possible that memories of past lives, and perhaps even future lives may be part of the infinite field of consciousness of which the individual awareness of a given conscious being is part. When, under certain circumstances, the mind of an individual is freed from the confines of a physical body and the limited physical senses that are part of the body, it appears that he or she  may have a glimpse, or even a prolonged look at a broader, more complete experience of reality, including birth and death.


In the development and application of the Triadic Dimensional Vortical Paradigm (TDVP), where consciousness, not matter, is held to be primary, we find that the possibility that various documented psi phenomena may be explained as the results of different kinds or degrees of OBE is a viable hypothesis, and looking at extrasensory perception (ESP) as a natural result of certain kinds of OBE leads to the recognition of several possible types of OBEs.


OBEs can be divided into three major categories: partial, complete and transcendental. Partial OBEs can be experienced while awake or asleep, and the appearance and the functioning of the physical body of the individual experiencing the OBE is ostensibly normal. Examples are: remote viewing exercises and involuntary dreams that yield real awareness of information not available to the individual through the physical senses, that is verified by others through normal means. I have personally experienced several partial OBEs with independent verification of specific information obtained during them.


Complete OBEs occur when the individual experiences leaving the body completely, like in cases of severe traumatic injury, or when vital signs fail on the operating table. In complete OBEs, the individual may be pronounced clinically dead, and yet experiences the event from a point outside his or her physical body. Complete OBEs are also called NDEs. I have also experienced this type of OBE and know others who have, including my wife Jacqui, and my friend Alan Hugenot.


In transcendental OBEs, there is no mortal threat or trauma, and the physical body continues to operate normally, but the five physical senses are heightened and accompanied by an extended global awareness that is independent of them. Transcendental OBEs are rare, and if reported at all, are usually considered to be scientifically inexplicable, advanced mystical experiences. In my opinion, they are only scientifically inexplicable if by science, you mean the limited philosophy of physicalism based on the metaphysical belief in materialism.


Certain complete and transcendental OBEs are RFDEs, and may include experiences of reincarnation with memories of past lives. I have shared in recent posts and in previous publications the fact that I have personal memories of past lives, know others who have, and in one recent post I shared the statements of a number of well-known people who have had memories of past lives.


As noted above, the study of psi phenomena, regardless how stringently controlled and analyzed, are generally considered to be “pseudoscience” by mainstream materialistic scientists. But, with the discovery and proofs of the existence of the third form of reality as part of every atom of the physical universe, the form we call gimmel, without which there would be no life-supporting, stable atomic and molecular structure, mainstream science as it exists now actually becomes pseudoscience, because its practitioners refuse to look at the evidence simply because they don’t believe it can be real. People who reject real data because it doesn’t fit their belief system, are not behaving as scientists. Scientists must be willing to look at the data and follow it wherever it leads, regardless of what their own beliefs are about the nature of reality. 

The time has come for mainstream scientists to look beyond their belief in materialism, because there is indisputable experimental evidence and proof that a vast part of reality is nonphysical.

Reflections on Gimmel, Life and Consciousness

Windows are so very nice, for looking out at trees and sky,

But they present a hazard for our feathered friends who fly,


And may mistake reflections there for part of their reality,

And try to reach and perch upon a branch of an imagined tree.


I heard an impact on the glass, and looked, hoping not to see,

A small body lying on the ground, alas, another sad fatality.


As I watched this little life depart,

It took my breath and broke my heart.


Why God, I asked, why must this be?

Why do you brook this cruelty?


I imagined the small egg within the nest,

The feathered warmth of mother’s breast,


It seems so similar, you see,

To what happens to you and me.


This happy little winged thing

Left the nest, his song to sing,


To spread his feathered wings and fly

To know and love the earth and sky.


But, suddenly, he’ll sing no more,

He flutters now, at death’s dark door.


In a moment this spark of life is gone, - and so,

I must ask from whence it came, where did it go?


As I lay his lifeless form to rest,

I have to ask: God, is this a test?


And when my body turns to dust,

As nature’s laws decree it must,


Where does the ‘I’ that I am go?

I’m asking and demand to know!


That little bird then spoke to me,

Not in words nor in bird chatter,


But in a flash of clarity I see:

Life or death, it does not matter.


A deeper question I must ask:

Beyond a bird or human mask,


What are the subtle links that tether

Gimmel, life and mind together?


The message that experience imparted was: It is time for me to move on. For more than 30 years, I’ve worked to perfect the mathematical proof that there is a part of reality that is non-physical, a real component beyond mass, energy space and time, that integrates the experience of consciousness and spirit with the awarerness of the physical universe. With the calculus of dimensional distinctions, the true quantum math, and dimensional extrapolation, linking Plato and Pythagoras, Cantor and Fermat, Planck and Einstein, the proof is complete. A handful of professional thinkers have confirmed this. But materialist mainstream scientists will try to disprove this until they draw their final breath. I’m through with trying to convince them. As Planck so correctly pointed out many years ago: “Science progresses from funeral to funeral.” We can’t expect many who have devoted their entire lives to materialism to be swayed even by mathematical proof. 


Gimmel, the third form of reality, is neither matter nor physical force, but it is a fact; it is real. There are those who will understand it, and those who won’t. As my son Joshua likes to say: “It is what it is!” So, we must move on to the more important deeper question: What is the relationship between gimmel, and the realities of human experience: life and consciousness?


I held that tiny body in my hands and watched the spark of his life fade and flicker out. I’ve experienced the same thing with other animals, including human beings, when vital organs are damaged beyond the possibility of functioning as they had when in good health; but his time was different. I realized that after the signs of life as a bird were gone, gimmel still existed in the atoms of the body; otherwise, the cells, molecules and atoms would all decay into the mass and energy of sub-microscopic quarks, and the body would disappear. Of course, this does happen over time, as various stages of organic decay proceed, but life is still there, many days later, it’s just no longer the life that expressed itself as a bird. Many of the cells of various parts of that body are still functioning. What if, I could bring together the quantum units of gimmel remaining in the body to reassemble the broken bones of the neck, or the crushed muscles of the heart, would the bird come back to life and fly away? Or is there a way to add units of gimmel to a finite physical form by the power of thought?



I have proved that gimmel, like mass and energy, is conserved in any process, and that strongly suggests that consciousness survives physical death. 

There is no doubt in my mind that gimmel is the connection between consciousness, life and the atomic structure of the physical universe, and that the potential for conscious life existed in the mutable mass and energy of quarks even before they became the first protium atoms of physical reality. The important question now is to determine exactly how consciousness works through gimmel and the dimensions of space and time to form life-supporting organic structures. If we can answer this question, we are not only on our way to knowing God’s thoughts, as Einstein wished to do, but we will also begin to know how the mind of God works.

THE GIMMEL RING


You’re born, you live, you strive, you die.

A few years, one or one hundred, - why?


Is there something you can learn about?

Before the flame of life burns out?


To save you from ignoble strife

That seems to be your lot in life?


Is it written that you must strive,

Work, eat and sleep to stay alive.


But, there must be something more than this,

Is there Love or Peace or Joy, -  Eternal bliss?


If not, then why waste our breath

To chase a dream that ends in death?


But, what if I could prove to you,

Through sweat and tears and drops of blood,

That hid beneath life’s residue,

There is a diamond in the mud?


What if I could prove beyond a doubt,

That in every atom’s murky quark,

Lives something none can do without:

The Gimmel Ring’s eternal spark,


shining light upon the keys

That open up the ancient doors,

Beyond which lie Eternities’

Peace, Love and Joy forevermore –

LIFE, DEATH AND ETERNITY

Who, or what, and why am I?

Why must I live, feel pain and die?


Drawn by the magic of desire,

To feel the sea, earth, wind and fire,


I dream in space, in ice and stone,

I wake in tissue, blood and bone.


And physical forms do decay,

So, born of flesh, they pass away.


The abyss of nothingness we do fear,

As life fades away and death draws near.


But, from fear of death I rebound,

For in the depths of me I’ve found:


‘I am Conscious’ does persist,

And nothingness does not exist!


I’ve chased the quark into its lair,

And found that Spirit does not expire.


As cyclic as electron spin

Consciousness will rise again.


So, Death I no longer fear,

I’ll shed not one single tear.


I’ll endure life’s every daunting test,

I’ll love and laugh and sleep and rest,


Until God’s Love embraces me

-- In the bosom of Eternity.

ARE YOU REALLY ALIVE?


If you are reading this, I must assume that you are alive. But, are you just merely alive, or are you really alive? Are you just aware of being, or are you completely conscious? What does it mean to be completely conscious? 

Until you are aware of the elegant magnificence of God’s universe from the quark to the quasar, from the proton and the protean universe to the cosmos at the end of time, until you are aware of the consciousness existing in the minds of the greatest sages of all ages and the innate consciousness of the cosmos, until you see Reality all at once, you are still in the land of slavery, lingering in the dream world of your sleep. You have not yet stepped into the Promised Land.


The physical world is one of duality and polarity, but it is not the real Reality, --in fact, it is a dream, an illusion cast upon the non-existent screen of space-time. Space and time have no independent existence in and of themselves, as you do, they appear to exist only because of the limits of your consciousness and the expansive and expanding field of the substance of matter, energy and consciousness in their primary forms.


How do you become alive, and completely conscious? By going deeply into the wonders of nature: by seeing the symmetry of the atom and the intricate beauty of the tiniest insect, by absorbing all the delicate beauty and fragrance of a rose and the boldness of a wildflower, by loving a dog, horse, bird cat or other animal, and being loved in return, by seeing the next dawn in this sunset, and eternal spring in the depths of winter, by knowing the unconditional love and loyalty of another living being, by feeling the ecstasy of animal life and the sadness and sorrow of animal death, by seeing eternity in the present moment, and the universe in a speck of dust.


When you have awakened, and you are really alive and completely aware and conscious, you will understand the mysteries of Ancient Egypt, of Sumer and Petra, of the Tao and the Orient, of Yoga and Karma, of the way of the Buddha, and the ecstasy of the Sufis. You will know the origins of mineral, plant, animal, and human consciousness, and how they emerge from the womb of primary consciousness, the spiritual impetus behind the physical universe.



The experience of being born and of dying, of waking and sleeping, are just the duality of nature, and only a small part of Reality.  Once you have gone beyond the repetitious cycles of duality and seen the Infinite, even once, even for a fleeting nanosecond, you will never forget. From that point onward, forever after that experience, you will see God in all things. Once fully awake, you will never sleep again.

APOLOGY


APOLOGY TO JOE

Twenty-some years ago, at a Heartland Writer’s Guide get-together, I made fun of something an intelligent acquaintance named Joe said. He was remarking how amazing a simple coincidence related to certain letters in words of the English language was. I heartlessly said: “It doesn’t take much to amuse you, does it?” Well, I am lot older, and maybe a little wiser now, and I realize that I owe Joe an apology. It is the simplest things that are the most amazing. Take, for example, breathing.


Because of a slap on your bottom by someone, it didn’t even have to be a doctor, you pulled the first breath of air into a shivering spasm of protoplasm that became your vehicle for this life. That first gasp started a process that might well continue, almost machine-like, for up to 70 years or more. You don’t even have to think about it. It just goes on, pumping life-giving air into you and allowing you to be conscious of this universe. If that’s not amazing, nothing is.


Books have been written about how amazingly fine-tuned this universe is for the thriving of conscious organic life forms. But we take it for granted, not realizing how many statistically improbable miracles are involved. It’s not hard to prove mathematically that such an amazing set of circumstances is not just very, very highly improbable, it’s impossible without intelligent design. Put simply: There is a Divine Intelligence just behind all the appearances of this universe, an infinite intelligence, playfully hiding in the murmurs of a mountain stream, smiling in the lotus and the rose. Daring you to find him/her. I’ve posted such proof. But that’s not what this post is about. It’s about the miracle of breath.


Think about it. Each cycle of inhalation and exhalation is a microcosm of life and death. Inhale, and the tension of life increases, exhale and the calmness of death approaches, and it approaches oh, so very closely! If the next breath is not drawn, your body will experience the spasms of death very soon. Between the first breath and the last, your physical life exists like a fragile flower, budding, and growing with great exuberance, eventually to wilt and fade away.


Contemplating such a simple thing as breath, something we take for granted every minute of every day, experiencing and analyzing it deeply, brings a realization of the miracle that life is. Become one with the exuberance of inhalation, and you will understand life; become one with the deep calm that comes with complete exhalation, and you will not fear death, because you exist with both and with neither. You are the I Am, the witness, the consciousness that experiences everything. You are a miracle.


Joe, I owe you a deep apology. It is the small things, the simple things, that really count.

MY PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

As my Face Book Friends know, yesterday I celebrated my 9x9 = 81st birthday. Thank you again for all the wonderful birthday wishes, comments and blessings. I wish to send Love and Light to each and every one of you, and please know that I am going to be around for a while longer, I still have a lot to do.


Would you believe that someone asked me a few years ago: “How long have you been retired?” My response was: “Retirement is not a meaningful word in my vocabulary.” What on Earth makes someone think I’m retired? People retire when they are tired of what they’ve been doing, and/or are getting ready to die!


Concerning death, the cerebral comedian Woody Allen said:


I’m not afraid to die, I just don’t want to be there when it happens!


I believe we are on this Earth to learn that life and death are passing dreams from which we all must one day waken, and for most of us, it takes a while. I worked as an actuarial mathematician, writing computer programs for the Univac computer for a major insurance company in downtown Los Angeles 57 years ago and saw statistics that showed that most men (I think it was about 87%) died within 6 months after retirement. I decided right then, never to retire.


How long do I plan to live? Let me answer that by quoting British biologist Thomas Huxley:


The rung of a ladder was never meant to rest upon, but only to hold a man's foot long enough to enable him to put the other somewhat higher.”


There is still so much to learn. I believe when one stops learning, one starts dying.


Try to learn something about everything and everything about something.”

- Thomas Huxley again.


I’ll go a bit further than that: Pick out something you love, it could be anything; I believe that if you really try to learn everything there is to know about something, anything real, and get even close, you’ll know a lot about everything else.


Most of you know about my efforts to get mainstream science out of the dead end of gross materialism. I’ve just finished writing a chapter for a book being published by the Academy for the Advancement of Post-Materialist Science that proves that the reconciliation of relativity and quantum physics in the new paradigm Dr. Vernon Neppe and I have developed, eliminates materialism as a valid metaphysical basis for science. Mainstream scientists who are self-acclaimed atheists hate this because it threatens their world view and overturns their life’s work. Some have resorted to calling us names.


No real scientist can possibly be an atheist. Because atheism does not meet the necessary criteria to become a scientific hypothesis. A scientific hypothesis must be “falsifiable”, i.e. it must be testable, and capable of proof or disproof. The hypothesis that God does not exist cannot be proved. On the other hand, the reality that nothing would exist without the organizing action of a higher form of consciousness is provable, - by direct experience. But mainstream scientific egos think they are authorities on the subject, declaring that because they haven’t experienced anything greater than their own egos, no one has!


 Quoting Huxley again:

Every great advance in natural knowledge has involved the absolute rejection of authority.”


Interestingly, Huxley, the grandfather of Aldous Huxley, the author of Beyond the Doors of Perception, defined himself as an agnostic. And that’s fine, every scientist should be an agnostic, especially about his own field. An agnostic is a skeptic, a doubter, a “doubting Thomas”. Concerning God, about all an agnostic can say is that God, if he exists, hasn’t appeared in front of him, or spoken to him. Of course, that is probably because most scientists don’t know how to stop thinking long enough to hear Him!


I have learned to live as if something wonderful is about to happen, - because it does, and has, repeatedly! Every day I see the sun rise is a wonder. The fact that there is something instead of nothing is an on-going miracle. Your existence as a conscious being is a miracle beyond miracles.


My plan, when the time comes to leave this body, is to exit consciously, unafraid and expecting something wonderful to happen!
