Kim Kardashian has been slammed for promoting an upcoming sale for her SKIMS label as the devastating Los Angeles fire continues to rage.

The 44-year-old shared a now-expired post to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, featuring information about the winter sale.

Los Angeles based writer and comedian Meredith Lynch blasted Kardashian in an Instagram reel, criticizing her for posting the video amid the raging fires, rather than issuing details about resources to help people.

'LA is literally burning down, and Kimberly Noel is literally posting, telling us to buy SKIMS,' Lynch raged in the clip.

She shared a screenshot of the post, which showed a countdown clock set to expire in 19 hours and 42 minutes time, indicating when the sale would start.

'Not one thoughts or prayers on her Instagram, but she is posting you a countdown to her winter sale,' she scathingly pointed out.

'Kim Kardashian, who has these huge reaches, who has such a base in Los Angeles, it is wild to me that they're not like, "hey let me use my platform to put out as much resources as possible,"' she pointed out.

The LA-based writer continued: 'No, instead, she's like "buy SKIMS."'

Lynch pointed out that the post was made recently, when the fires were already burning out of control and hundreds of people had lost their homes.

'She has a whole f**king social media team that should be intervening right now,' she continued, suggesting they take down the Instagram Story.

Lynch reasserted that they should have instead posted resources for people in the LA area.

'It is wild to me, we are living the end of days right now, that is what's happening,' she said. 'Because of these billionaires, they're so unaffected that they don't care.'

The response was mixed in the comments, with many pointing out the posts are likely scheduled.

'I'm not a Kim fan and I don't own anything SKIMS. I'm sure that these were set up automatically to post. Other than complaining about everyone else, are you going to post more resources for people?' one wrote.

'Because when LA burns, the rest of the world needs to stop??' chimed in another.

'I mean, what would she know about resources when she can pay to have her own private firefighting team?' another biting response read.

'She has never cared and it's appalling how people keep supporting her,' shared another.

It comes as Kim's sister Khloé shared an update with her 304 million Instagram followers, revealing that her neighbor is in contact with fire department chiefs, who said that 'the firefighters are desperate, hungry, and exhausted.'

She then posted ways people could assist, writing, 'If you're looking for ways to help — drop off protein-packed meals, Gatorade, coffee, etc., to your local fire station.

'Or if you're interested in donating to my neighbor, who is going to Costco tomorrow to pick up rotisserie chickens and sides to deliver to several stations, you can Venmo: @sean-whitley.'

Kim Kardashian opened her flagship Skims store in New York City on December 12, 2024

She attended the opening on a scooter after revealing she broke her foot on December 6.

She shared a snap of her ankle in a boot with the Clumsy song by Fergie playing, adding: 'FML. Broken foot for the holidays.'

The Christmas Eve party took place just 18 days later - with the star even sharing the next day that she got a bedazzled scooter from sister Khloe Kardashian for her broken foot.

It's also entirely possible the star just wore the heels for pictures and then removed the heel from the broken foot - which she did for the Skims flagship store opening in New York City on December 12.

Kardashian also put a heel on her broken foot while entering her new store in New York City - all while using a scooter for her injury.
