My birds haven't layed a single egg since Hurricane Milton came through. It was a very scary storm. I secured the coop, thank God the coop didn't have any debris come down on it. I have been spoiling them rotten, spending more time with them, playing music even. My girls are 3 years old and one hatched 2 chicks that are 3 months old now. I'm going to have to buy store bought eggs or forget baking this holiday season. What can I do to get them laying again?

Yes, free range. I only have one hen that is still molting. The rest are finished.
Even tho they might not be dropping feathers any longer, doesn't mean the molt is over. Plus it takes time for them recover. Plus shorter days often mean no eggs, might have to wait until the days start getting longer....unless you are using supplemental lights.

..Or they might be laying out in range area.
Might be time for an exam:

Then:
Free range birds sometimes need to be 'trained'(or re-trained) to lay in the coop nests, especially new layers. Leaving them locked in the coop/run for a week or so can help 'home' them to lay in the coop nests. Fake eggs/golf balls in the nests can help 'show' them were to lay. They can be confined to coop and maybe run 24/7 for a few days to a week, provided you have adequate space and ventilation, or confine them at least until mid to late afternoon. You help them create a new habit and they will usually stick with it. ..at least for a good while, then repeat as necessary.
