Thinking about starting my own designer brand for chickens. Jokes aside, I have a chicken with bumble foot and made her some footwear to help with recovery. As most normal people do, I took measurements from my indoors pet chicken then hand stitched the entire thing. Its 100% made from pieces of an old golf glove. What do you think?

Very nice! There's a chicken/duck shoe business out there, but they're the only one. You may be able to offer something they don't and make your own little business!

Love the idea if it actually works. Let us know if the footwear is tolerated by your chicken and if the bumble foot recovery was better using protective footwear. I certainly would have never thought of that footwear idea.

What I would have been thinking about is how my chicken got bumble foot to start with and find a way to prevent it from happening again. I guess if you can prevent the bumble foot, your footwear company might suffer in sales. Maybe at that point you could sell the footwear as fashion accessories?

I don't let them free range but at night before bed I "supervise free range" them so they get time out of their fenced area. I think she got cut on something during that time, whether its a thorn or something else. Shes been good about the wrapping I put around her foot so I think she'll tolerate this but...I don't expect it to last very long.
