This is my chicken coop. My husband did all the work and it took him about 4 months to complete. He didn't draw up any plans. Just used his imagination.

There is hardward cloth buried 18 inches under the concrete foundation The coop has a cement foundation.

After the foundation and slab to the coop were done. The walls were constructed next. Along with the framework for the run.

The framework for the roof was completed. House wrap went on the roof then the metal roof.

Electricity was added next. He insulated the inside and put plywood on top of the insulation.

Windows were installed after the plywood was up and painted. Their roost, poop boards and nest boxes went in next . Bonus for me an automatic chicken door was installed.

He then put 1/4 inch hardware cloth around the entire run. Then he made me a door into the run. I just love my coop and the girls and Julio love it too. He also added hardware cloth around all the windows.

The run has been covered in plastic to keep the wind, snowed and rain out for this winter.

We get negative temperatures here so they should be warm in their new home all winter.

I'm so grateful for all the work my husband put into my chicken coop
