In 2023, the vast majority of investors encountered unchanged or increased demand for sustainable funds relative to non-sustainable funds across all regions. The United States had the highest level of decreased demand, with 14 percent. However, this trend did not carry over to Canada, where over 95 percent of investors stated stable or increasing demand.

The survey group was made up of over 110 institutional investors from across the United States, Europe (including the UK), Canada, and the Asia–Pacific (including Australia). The respondents, represent a combined AUM value of 26.3 trillion U.S. dollars.
