Spiritual Sundays

Hello brothers and sisters~ I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful long weekend.
I thought I would share a photo which was taken on Prince Edward Island where I live, and then I added a significant piece of scripture to it.
God is never late; He's always on time. He's never too busy and He's always good! Who is like Him?
Thanks for visiting. Please visit Charlotte and Ginger at Spiritual Sundays to be blessed and refreshed. Click on the link http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/ or the Spiritual Sundays button on my sidebar.

Happy Pink Saturday

Hello everyone and Happy Pink Saturday to you all!
Hope everyone had a great week!

Our hostess, Beverly, has been encouraging us to welcome new bloggers to Pink Saturday and to feature a new one you have visited. So I would like to introduce you to this new blogger, Heidi at "Heart and Home." Heidi is a California girl and she has a wonderful blog and a lovely flare for decorating. Last week, she shared some of the flowers on her walk around her neighborhood. I hope you will stop by and check her out at http://heidi-heartandhome.blogspot.com/ These blooms are called Naked Ladies, aren't they pretty? Please stop by today and tell her I sent you! My pink post today is a little tour of one of my favourite shops on Prince Edward Island. "The Homestead" in Summerside carries the most decadent and whimsical treasures, from shabby chic and country items to vintage china and furnishings. They also carry laces, linens, candles, and a wide assortment of ornaments. You will find some very nice prints as well.
It is almost impossible to leave the shoppe empty-handed, believe me!

The Homestead is a lovely older home which had once belonged to a well known Island family. The character of the house just oozes charm, featuring big windows which just flood the rooms with light. The whole feeling of the house/shoppe is so full of nostalgia that it sets one to daydreaming of years gone by. It is not at all difficult for me to lose track of time while walking through the rooms because the architecture reminds me of my grandparents' home and it is just a wonderful place to browse or shop for that something special. Yes, I could just sit myself down on one of their settees and imagine myself as Lady of the Manor in a long frock, bringing my guests their tea in one of their pretty tea sets.

OK, back to the present..........

Today I would like to share some of The Homestead's pink wares with you. Hope you enjoy the tour!Do you see that sweet pink hobnail based lamp? Gorgeous!Pink frocked teddies up on top of the armoire.Oooh, Cranberry glass!A built-in hutch with leaded glass doors, holding a few choice pieces of vintage china. This sweet arrangement is sitting prettily on the hearth of an old fireplace. You will find signs of every shape and size in the shoppe, each with its own little saying. Vintage china and pretty teapots.I just have to show you one of their wonderful windows; a deep bay window. It's almost a room in itself! Isn't it lovely?I will share more of The Homestead on another post early next week. I will leave you with a beautiful sunset I photographed last night at Victoria Park. I think the best pink of all is the one God created Himself! I love how the pink tint of the sunset kisses the water pink too. Please make your way over to How Sweet the Sound http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ and visit all the other pink participants. You can click on the Pink Saturday button on my sidebar as well.
Have a wonderful long weekend everybody!
