Yasuaki Iwata is a composer formerly employed at Nintendo, joining around 2013. He has worked on music for a variety of titles; this includes various retro courses on Mario Kart 8, most of the music related to towns, dungeons, Kass and the Champions on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and the main theme of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and various of its iterations.

Iwata left Nintendo on July 2023 and became a freelance composer.^{^[1]}
