Nintendo Entertainment Planning and Development (EPD)[]
Nintendo Entertainment Planning and Development Division or Nintendo EPD for short, is currently the largest division within Nintendo, consisting of around 1000+ developers who create Nintendo games. It was formed in 2015 with the merger between Nintendo Entertainment Analysis & Development (EAD) and Nintendo Software Planning & Development (SPD).
Nintendo Technology Development (TDD)[]
Nintendo Technology Development Division or NTD for short is Nintendo's Hardware division. It was formed in 2015 with Company President Tatsumi Kimishima combining Nintendo Integrated Research and Development with Nintendo System Development.

Nintendo Entertainment Analysis & Development[]
Nintendo Entertainment Analysis & Development Division (previously Nintendo R&D4) was a division within Nintendo that specialized in creating video games for their current consoles. It was merged with with Nintendo SPD to create Nintendo EPD in 2015
Nintendo Software Planning and Development[]
Nintendo Software Planning and Development Division's main purpose was to produce and overseee other developers in creating Nintendo published video games, though they themselves also developed original titles. They were consolidated into Nintendo EPD with EAD in 2015.
Nintendo Integrated Research and Development[]
Nintendo Integrated Research and Development Division (Nintendo IRD for short) designed Nintendo hardware and accessories since their Arcade days in the mid 1970s. It was merged with SDD to form PTD in 2015.
Nintendo Research & Engineering[]
Nintendo Research & Engineering Division designed Nintendo handhelds and handheld accessories including the Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS and more. They were combined with Nintendo IRD in 2013.
Nintendo System Development[]
Nintendo System Development Division began as the Nintendo Special Planning & Department Division where it worked on low profile hardware like the e-Reader and Pokéwalker. It was turned into Nintendo Network Business & Development Division in 2011 and added the Nintendo Network Planning Group. In 2013, it was turned into Nintendo System Development. It was merged with IRD to form PTD in 2015.
