Nimrodel, within Lothlórien, by Sara Maria Morello
Nimrodel was a small river near the eastern foothills of the Misty Mountains in Rhovanion.
Beginning in the foothills of the Misty Mountains under Celebdil, it flowed through Lothlórien until joining the Celebrant.[1]
History[]
When both Nimrodel and Amroth were lost, the river was named after her. The river was once spanned by the Bridge of Nimrodel. After leaving Moria, the Fellowship of the Ring crossed the river and rested near its shore before entering the Elven realm of Lórien.[2]
