Grievous Bodily Harm is a removed original song in Grand Theft Auto 2, composed circa 1999 and first published during the game's 25th anniversary on October 22, 2024.

Description[]

The song was named after GTA 2's original title, Grievous Bodily Harm (G.B.H.), which, like its predecessor, is a term for a specific crime related to the gameplay. The developers at DMA Design and the studio's creative manager Gary Penn opted and pushed for the title Grand Theft Auto 2 instead, primarily because they felt "G.B.H." was too much of a United Kingdom term. The term is still referenced in-game, such as the name of the KGBH radio station.

The lyrics alluding to the game's proposed gameplay features such as respect, phone missions, Jesus Saves, and gang betrayal suggest this may have been the game's original theme song prior to being rebranded as a Grand Theft Auto sequel.

The song was first published on October 22, 2024, on the YouTube channel "Grand Theft Auto Tracks" and shared by DMA Design's music composer Colin Anderson.^[1]
