Jordyn in a Straw Hat
There is an impish quality to this gesture that seems to befit Jordyn. The straw hat, which I found at the Salvation Army, adds to the comical feel of the piece. I'm not sure if the string of pearls fits the theme, but I liked how they worked into that space and rhymed with the shape of her arms.

I love the warm reflected light in this piece. It looks like playtime after a formal event. I've never seen that in a painting before. Be sure to get a good price for it.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Gregory, there is a "Look" here I've never seen before,(I can't explain it)
ReplyDeleteVery good!
I have quickly become a fan of your work.
Another favorite. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteAmazing work, Charles, especially on such a small scale. I don't know how you do it.
ReplyDeletethe sunlight streaming onto the model is done so well, I almost want to squint. Her eyes, shaded by the hat brim are a welcome reprieve from the bright light... amazing, Charles!
