CLACS provides funding to support undergraduate experiential learning, graduate student and faculty research in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Faculty Funding

Strategic Partnership Funding is available to support faculty research with international partners at institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean.

CLACS also supports speakers and events, conference travel, course development, and undergraduate participation in faculty research projects.

Student Funding

CLACS offers scholarships for undergraduate students to pursue study abroad, internships or research opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean as well as funding to support pre-dissertation research in the region for graduate students.

CLACS supports the study of languages. Scholarships are available for beginning Portuguese courses at MSU, and FLAS fellowships are available to undergraduate and graduate students studying priority Less Commonly Taught Languages of Latin America and the Caribbean.
