"Rendezvous with Destiny" was a short story by Charlene Newcomb that appeared in Star Wars Adventure Journal 6 which was published by West End Games in May 1995 and was later archived online at Hyperspace.
Plot summary[]
Following visions granted to her by the Force, Alex Winger stows away on the starship Star Quest, a freighter operated by Tere Metallo, an independent pilot carrying out a mission for the New Republic. Metallo plans to insert a crippling computer virus into the systems of an Imperial research base on Sarahwiee. This coincides with a strike carried out by Page's commandos. At the research base, Alex finds and frees Carl Barzon from imprisonment and meets Luke Skywalker – the subject of repeated Force visions she has been having. Luke is part of the commando mission to destroy the base. The commandos succeed, and Luke offers Alex guidance in using her natural Force sensitivity.
