Another knee jerk reaction
and we're still stuck with it. I've lost count of them, but someone's knee must be bruised and bloody as hell... maybe even a fractured patella.

Buy twitter, decimate the workforce, see a mass exodus of users and employees, lift some bans, decimate the workforce further, and hey look! We're in the run up to the 2024 US Elections! Twitter runs, but barely, as most staff have quit or been shown the door. Now anyone can attack or abuse or even take over Twitter. It will be a dumpster fire...
Yes, this one was short and fast, but had oh so much potential... too bad they didn't take more than 3 minutes to work it up. If I find an extra 10 minutes today, I'll rewrite it myself and re-post it.
Yeah, there's something in the tea at Vulture Central. Can we still use that term? Vulture Central? Now kissing the ring on the hand that feeds IT? WTF!
I fear 2023 will be a boring year as told by Reg.com
Don't poke the bear... and never, never tease a weasel!
Surely their products couldn't get any worse?
You must be new here, very new.
Win2000 = solid
Win2000 advanced = solid
WinXP = Solid after SP2
Win7 = Solid after SP1
Downhill from there... so please don't double dog dare M$ to produce a steamier turd...
When I did repairs, which was not often, I didn't have time to browse people's data, but I always copied files, ya know, incase I fscked up the whole thing, and needed to restore? Not sure if this was done by the techs in question, and if it was confused with nefariously riffling though files?
I've seen enough without snooping too, hence the mind bleach.
I have to agree. +1. Perhaps all the good stories have been told? They are relying on reader contributions for the stories*. However, this is really just part of the vanillaization (the opposite of vandalization?) of El Reg, now known as Reg.com.
*I know I don't see some user handles in the comments any longer. Have they gone AC? Doubtful, they probably aren't visiting Reg.com and this brain drain is affecting the quality of columns like Who? Me? and On Call.
80 weeks.... I haven't pulled any of those since I wore a much younger man's clothes. And never again!
Should I have ever have been employed by Twatter (I know) I would have had the sense to make for the door when the courts said, "Sorry Elon, but you really do have to complete the purchase." I would have raided the office supplies cupboard, and emptied my desk all while my chair was spinning, on my way to the door!
Be sure not to forget my coat, nothing defeats a dramatic exit like returning for your coat...
So with all the others gone, how long can our BOFH last?
On today's, on the go, up and coming El Reg? By my calculations, don't look for the BOFH in 2023... not here on El Reg, or should we be calling it Reg.com now?? Should Simon have the will to continue, perhaps he could join Dabbsy over at stubstack?
