Game quality! I think the PS3 exclusives are much better, the Uncharted series alone is reason to buy a PS3, then Gran Turismo 5 in the autumn, and of course Ratchet and Clank

A few years ago they were getting their highest viewing figures. Then the rot started.
Unsurprisingly their highest viewing figures were in their logo free era.
Then there was the picture quality drop when they moved multiplex, I watched the BT Vision streams with no logos instead.
Last time I watched a 5th gear I skipped through it. A bit annoying, bad picture and an even more annoying logo.
And Gadget Show was getting silly too!
This version of (program name) is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.
Other Win 7 machines have the nasty bug of no VGA DOS graphics support, unlike 3.11, 95, 98, 2000, XP.
I still use XP at home and will continue to.
I haven't bought any music for a couple of years. I was given a double CD recently - now in slots 9 & 10 in the Car changer, but buy - no.
Why - because nothing decent has been done.
The given CD - that was a friends band.
I will admit to liking NWOBHM and similar rock from that period. But why rebuy what you have?
As to films - 2 in the last year. Why only 2?
DVD doesn't look as good as BluRay, BluRay is still too expensive, but made an exception for Clint, last night though just ordered a few Pixars in a sale. But since the BluRays exists I will not purchase the DVD.
What have I downloaded - recently nothing, prior to that couple of rips of HD-DVDs which were of films I wanted to buy but wasn't getting the DVD, and I already had a BluRay player - which also happens to be good at streaming, this time I wanted to be on the winning side after Beta and Minidisc.
What have I bought?
Games, the value behind a good game at £37 is to be honest worth the money, a poor game is not worth £5. When I see online times of around 8 days, and single player around 20 hours, I think I have found my moneys worth. Then all three of my children have played as well.
If the production companies want my money provide the following
Music I want to buy at sensible prices (definately under £10)
BluRays at sensible prices - not £20
Games with good replay value, and are not poor ports from other formats (I am looking at you Ubisoft), if Naughty Dog can make a great playing and stunning looking game so can other companies. I have already decided not to buy a game from a British software house because it is a very poor port, low resolution and frame dropping is unacceptable now.
Well mainly that the free Freeview PVR they gave us needs BTBB to operate, and it is full of Come Dine With Mes - and I don't want to upset the wife.
Then loads of places using our email addresses.
But Phorm would have forced the change, I did phone up BTV support and ask about moving from BT and then they got into a panic.
I think one of the reasons they dropped Phorm is the threats from BTV and Total Broadband customers.
Never found them while scanning for radio to listen to in the car. Not on my list of stations on my AV receiver.
Pity 6 Music is not on FM. Then I could listen to it in the car rather than through a sat box.
Before anyone jumps in and say get DAB car radio - show me one with CD changer control AND an MD slot.
They are all missing the essentials of any box, 2 tuners and a hard disk. This on its own is enough for a fail.
I will wait and see what Humax or Topfield produce when we get some proper boxes.
Pace/Phillips well where do I start, Pace do not even support their Freeview PVR, leaving owners with an expensive door stop come digital switchover.
Cheaper to buy new quite often than second hand. My last two games were from supermarkets. Mid October, day off, day of game release, cheaper than Game or even the online retailers, it would be rude not to.
As to game play my penultimate purchase above, 30 hours single player campaign and 5 1/2 days online multiplayer so far. I want that platinum. Other games I have spent a few minutes playing and thought - what a waste of time.
As to duff games, the PS3 tends to not get many of these, most of the games are pretty good and some are brilliant.
<---- It is a MK-NDI
I had a very odd very short dream about them.
Cut to a film studio with their leader in a red sidecar with wings, and the well known music going.
Yes I KNOW he should have been on the bike and Cable in the sidecar.
This is what happens when you tidy up your Wallace & Grommit recordings during an election campaign.
Yes the same dream claimed that Nick Cleggs dad was Norman Clegg, and I think the Sallis link did it,
So it is up to you, is the Liberal Democrat theme Wallace & Grommit or Last of the Summer Wine?
Final question who plays Shawn & Wendoline?
