Piglet's Big Game is a 2003 action-adventure video game based on Piglet's Big Movie, by Gotham Games, Disney Interactive, and Doki Denki Studio. The game centers around Piglet and how he tries to show how he can help.
Playable characters[]
- Piglet
- Tigger (Only playable in Roo and Rabbit's dreams)
- Winnie the Pooh (Only playable in Owl and Tigger's dreams)
Plot[]
PC/Mac version[]
Piglet goes around collecting ingredients for a soup, to share with his friends Tigger, Rabbit, Pooh, Eeyore, and Owl. Once he is done, a party will be held.
Console version[]
This game primarily features Piglet going into his friends dreams and defeats "Heffalumps" & "Woozles" to help his friend's collect valuable items.
The game starts with Piglet observing Pooh reaching for the bee hive, Roo trying to reach for a ball which is caught in a tree, Owl trying to remember where his memory book is, Rabbit planting his carrots, Tigger painting his house orange and Eeyore having his usual gloomy days.
Piglet sees a Granosorus and is scared of it, but it disappears before his friends can see it. He runs into Christopher Robin, who picks Piglet up to comfort him, and tells him to overcome his fears, but Piglet says that heroes are supposed to be big and brave, and since he is the opposite, he realizes that he will never be a hero. Piglet leaves the Hundred-Acre-Wood as his friends start to fall asleep doing what Piglet saw them doing. Piglet discovers a mysterious telescope that allows him to enter the dreams of his friends so he can help them with their problems.
Levels[]
- Pooh's Dream - A candy and dessert-themed dream. Piglet must find Pooh, get him unstuck, and then find him some honey.
- Roo's Dream - An arts and crafts-themed dream with various doodles and cardboard assets. Roo has accidentally locked himself in his playroom, so Piglet must unlock him and then help him get his ball back.
- Owl's Dream - A library-themed dream. Piglet must find Owl's memory book.
- Eeyore's Dream - A dark and gloomy medieval castle-themed dream. Piglet must release the color into Eeyore's dream then relight the room to get rid of intruders.
- Rabbit's Dream - A garden-themed dream. Piglet must help Rabbit's Carrot Extractor to work so his carrots can be collected.
- Tigger's Dream - A dream consisting of four different regions, each representing the four seasons; a forest with striped trees for summer, a carnival for fall, a snowy mountain for winter, and a valley of grass for spring. Tigger has lost his stripes, and Piglet must find them.
- The Storm - The real world where a rainstorm floods the Hundred Acre Wood. Piglet must use items related to those in the dreams to save his friends from Heffalumps and Woozles, then face off against the Granosaurus.

Brave faces[]
- Blows a raspberry (Default)
- Raises arms and flails them about while saying "Ahhhhhh!" (50 Cookies)
- Tugs on his ears and sticks out his tongue while saying "Bleh!", as the background stretches (70 Cookies)
- Tugs lower lips outward while saying "Uggggggh!" and shining green (80 Cookies; required to scare Talking Door)
- Stretches mouth wide and wiggles his tongue, making an angry face and saying "Blehhhh!" while glowing white (90 Cookies)
- Puffs up his cheeks while pushing on his nose, then blows out while flashing white (100 Cookies)

If Piglet doesn't get all the brave faces, he won't be scary enough to frighten the Talking Door (as well as the other enemies), and won't be able to reach the boss stages. However, if the Talking Door tells Piglet to come back when he is far more scary, a paper will show the dream locations of where he can find the brave face factories to unlock the brave faces.
Enemies[]
Heffalumps[]
- "Basic Heffalump" – These enemies have a fairly average elephant body shape but are also able to walk bipedally; they are faced all throughout the game, including the final level.
- "Bee Heffalump" – Bee heffalumps have an elephant's head and feet and a bee's body; they are faced from Roo's Dream, Tigger's Dream, and in the final level. They can move relatively fast, but every time they get scared, they move back a space.
- "Tuba Heffalump" – Most of them can be found sleeping rather than patrolling a set area and will be awoken if they are approached too quickly, they are also able to shatter the grimace code in grimace mode so be quick to scare them off. The Tuba Heffalump appears in Eeyore's Dream (after you pass the Talking Door), Rabbit's Dream, Tigger's Dream, and also in the final level.
- "Jackpot Heffalump" – They are more or less robot heffalumps that move around on a thin wheel, they can mess up the indications in grimace mode and replace the correct indications with question marks, they don't move all that fast. The Jackpot Heffalump is in Rabbit's Dream and Tigger's Dream and also in the final level.
- "Roadsweeper Heffalump" – These enemies can only be found in Tigger's Dream. They spend most of their time sweeping up leaves from a path, they do move quite fast though, and they can hide from scary faces by sweeping up dust, causing the grimace code to go invisible for a couple of seconds. The Roadsweeper Heffalump is NOT in the final level.
Woozles[]
- "Basic Woozle" - Just like the basic heffalump, the basic woozle is also able to walk bipedally; they have a distinctive woozle body shape, but they can't run that fast and also have no way of hiding from a scary face. The basic Woozle can be found in any Dream but just like the Roadsweeper Heffalump, they aren't in the final level.
- "Hide And Seek Woozle" – These Woozles are the largest in body height and they wear distinctive magician clothing; they resemble vampires and they can hide from scary faces by covering themselves with their cloak, and Piglet faces them past the Talking Door in Roo's Dream, Owl's Dream, and Eeyore's Dream. They are also in the Final Level.
- "Mirror Woozle" – These distinctively French woozles supposedly spend all day admiring themselves in their mirrors, and are able to slow down a scary face process by using their mirrors to flip the screen and therefore making it more confusing to complete the grimace code. The Mirror Woozle appears in Eeyore's Dream and Rabbit's Dream. They also appear in the Final Level.
- "Sporty Woozle" – These dog-like woozles apparently like to take part in a wide range of sports, from boxing to tennis; not only can they use their rackets to change one of the symbols in grimace mode, but they are also quite capable of keeping up with Piglet when he runs away, but their vision range is not all that good. They appear in Tigger's Dream after you pass the Talking Door, and the final level.
Other[]
- "Talking Door" – The Talking door only appears in every second level when Piglet gets to the near end of the game. He can only be scared when Piglet learns every last scare he has unlocked in each level. He can't move, but he can still scare Piglet if he gets too close to him.
- "Scary Tree" - The Scary Tree is only in Owl's Dream and Eeyore's Dream. Just like the Talking Door, it doesn't move, but can still scare Piglet if he gets too close.
- "Granosorus" - The Granosorus appears in the opening cutscene and the final level. It is just a scary shadow and really big.
Final level[]
After Piglet completes all the Dreams he can head to the final level A Blustery Day. In the final level, all of Piglet's friends are stranded on different islands in a flood with one (or two) Heffalumps or Woozles. Piglet must Scare the Heffalumps and Woozles and rescue his friends using items that each were relevant to their dreams. If the player is too slow or if he makes a mistake, one of Piglet's friends might get scared by a Heffalump, or a Woozle and the player will have to start over.
- Pooh Bear is trapped with a Basic Heffalump. Piglet uses an empty honey pot as a boat.
- Roo is trapped with a Bee Heffalump. Piglet kicks his ball onto a log to form a bridge.
- Owl is trapped with a Hide and Seek Woozle. Piglet reads his memory book to remind him that he can fly.
- Eeyore is trapped with a Mirror Woozle. Piglet uses a paint brush to knocks rocks, that look like the colors, into a creek to make a bridge.
- Rabbit is trapped with a Tuba Heffalump (which is sleeping) and a Jackpot Heffalump which appears when you head to Tigger's Island. Because the Tuba Heffalump is sleeping, it will not scare Rabbit but instead, the Jackpot Heffalump will. Piglet knocks over a wheelbarrow of carrots to make a bridge.
- Tigger is trapped with a Sporty Woozle. Piglet uses a striped piece of wood with colors like him as a bridge.
At the end, Piglet must face the Granosorus. After scaring away the Granosorus, Piglet's friends thank him for rescuing them and compliment how brave he was. After learning of Piglet's bravery, Christopher Robin gives everyone a picnic to celebrate their adventure. Piglet's bravery has become recognized, making him a hero to all his friends; and he no longer thinks he's too small or too frightened.
Game Boy Advance version[]
After having a nightmare involving a monster called the Granosorus, Piglet runs towards his friends warning them of the monster before Christopher Robin calms him down. He explains that the nightmares can teach him how to be brave, so Piglet leaves to find out how to do so while his friends begin to fall asleep. Piglet discovers several dream portals, allowing him to enter their dreams and help them find their possessions and battles Heffalumps, Woozles, sentient mirrors, and living trees; the talking door also appears in this version. After helping everyone, a flood covers the woods, forcing Piglet to face his fears rescue his friends while dealing with many enemies, and eventually the Granosorus. Once everyone is rescued and the Granosorus is scared away, Christopher Robin arrives and after finding out that Piglet has faced his fears, he gives everyone a picnic to celebrate Piglet's bravery.
While the Game Boy Advance version is mostly the same, there are a few notable differences.
- Owl and Tigger's dreams are completely absent.
- As a result, the player cannot temporarily control Pooh.
- The boss of Roo's dream is a Barrel Woozle instead of a Hide And Seek Woozle.
- Eeyore's dream has no boss and Rabbit's dream has a Sporty Woozle for a boss.
- Due to this, Piglet's motivation for getting Roo's lantern in Eeyore's dream is different. In the Console version, he relit the candles to light the room and scare off the Heffalumps, but in the Game Boy Advance version, he relit the fireplace to keep Eeyore warm.
- The Granosorus is absent. Instead, Piglet rescues his friends without scaring anything then fights the Heffalumps and Woozles after that.
- It is however mentioned though.
- There are two new enemies that did not appear in the console vision:
- "Barrel Woozle" - These Woozles are capable of protecting themselves from scary faces by hiding in their barrels.
- "Walking Mirror" - These gold-plated sentient mirrors have the ability to cancel grimace mode at any time, so the player must be quick to scare them off.

Reception[]
Like the movie, the game received positive reviews as well. Ryan Davis, in a review for GameSpot, deemed the game very much superior to most children’s games and movie tie-ins, and praised the voice acting, sound and art design (which features “surreal” imagery of the character’s dream worlds). Davis also noted the game's gentle pace.
Trivia[]
- Kanga, Roo, Gopher, Christopher Robin, the Narrator, and the Talking Door do not appear in the PC/Mac version.
- Sporty Woozle was mentioned in Disney Heroes: Battle Mode.
- Game Tip for the PC/Mac version: if you keep ringing Rabbit's doorbell with his door open, you'll hear him talking offscreen (three different offscreen dialogues)
- Rabbit and Tigger were the only ones to fall asleep painfully, falling unconscious while rolling carrots and getting covered in orange paint respectively.
- The game went viral in November 2024 after several YouTubers and social media influencers took note at the spooky music and one of the game's levels, which resemble horror genre games such as Silent Hill and Resident Evil. This led to a huge spike in price for the game on websites like eBay, despite the game not being rare.
