| Hitomi, Rui, and Ai Kisugi are three sisters who are a trio of art thieves known as Cat's Eye. In the daytime, they run a café also called Cat's Eye (they claim they came up with it before the thieves did). They are also friends, particularly Hitomi, with Toshio Utsumi, a police officer hoping to be a detective. He is oblivious to their activities and desperate to capture Cat's Eye, especially after they successfully steal the "Roman Woman" painting. When Toshio's job is threatened for his failures, the sisters decide to perform a fake out heist (pretending to steal one item, but making off with another). During the stakeout, Toshio accidentally touches Hitomi's chest and concludes that Cat's Eye are actually women, giving him a "lead". With Toshio's job secure, Cat's Eye place the painting among other stolen pieces of art in their country mansion, claiming that they are closer to their "goal". | ||||

After having a date with Toshio, Hitomi realizes she cannot let it go and asks Ai to help her, though she does not inform her as to what she will be doing. Hitomi steals the painting, but her only exit, a bridge is cut off. She leaps from a tower and lands in a boat with Rui and Ai. Ai reveals that Rui figured out Hitomi's plan and they escape with the painting. It is soon revealed that art they steal is in an effort to find their missing father, the artist himself. | ||||

Trivia[]
- This is actually the fourth adaptation of the Cat's Eye manga. The first was an animated two series run that ran from 1983-1985, a 1997 Japanese live-action film adaptation, and an ongoing 2024 live-action French television production. The latter changes the setting from Japan to France. Between 2019 and 2023, the characters also appeared in two crossover films with Tsukasa Hojo's other creation City Hunter, and a crossover miniseries with Monkey Punch's creation, Lupin III.
- Unlike the other Hulu original anime that feature dubbing credits after the show's usual credits, Cat's Eye doesn't have one, making it rather difficult to locate the English dub voices.
- Second Disney production to be based off a manga published by Shonen Jump after Sand Land, the comic group responsible for big hits such as Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach.
