"Captain Scrooge" is the eighty-sixth episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on December 5, 2014, and is the twenty-fifth episode in the third season.
Plot[]
After taking forever to find his treasure, Cubby refuses to share it with his mates, but Izzy tells him "don't be like Captain Scrooge". Cubby never heard of Captain Scrooge, so Jake tells him the story of Captain Scrooge: The richest and greediest pirate, unaware, from the bushes Sharky and Bones were about to take Cubby's treasure chest, but Captain Hook stops them because he's not interested in stealing anything from Jake's crew (which he usually is), he's interested in hearing the story.
In this story, Captain Scrooge (played by Captain Hook) was a grumpy, old sea snake who only cared for treasure. He had a hard-working crew who never got to share the treasure. However, they were excited because tomorrow, they were planning to go to the Great Pirate Feast. Captain Scrooge interrupts, stating that he pays them for working. The crew are ready for the Great Pirate Feast, which is the one day a year when pirates from across the Never Sea meet up to celebrate with their mateys and everyone shares their treasure. However, Captain Scrooge thinks it is preposterous, and tells his crew that they're not going. Cubby tries to show an example of how much he loves coconut crunch cookies, but Captain Scrooge orders him to start peeling codfish for dinner and his crew to get back to work, as he doesn't share his treasure with anyone.
At night, Captain Scrooge's crew is done with the work, and mention how greedy he is. Jake hopes Captain Scrooge finds the meaning of the true pirate spirit. The crew then agrees, and Cubby and Mr. Smee perform a song regarding the meaning of true pirate spirit. Captain Scrooge then interrupts, being bothered by all of that, and orders his crew to be up early tomorrow to search for treasure for him.
Later, while Captain Scrooge is counting treasure, Mommy Scrooge arrives to remind him to bring plenty of treasure to share for the Great Pirate Feast. When Captain Scrooge refuses, Mommy Scrooge reminds him what will happen if he does not change his behavior, as he needs to know that there is more to being a pirate than keeping treasure for himself. So, Captain Scrooge will be visited by a pirate spirit who will teach him the meaning of what it is to be a true and good pirate. He agrees, and Mommy Scrooge expects to see him at the Great Pirate Feast. As Captain Scrooge goes to sleep, the pirate spirit, which is Treasure Tooth, arrives, ready to take him to the past, present, and future. Captain Scrooge tries to go back to sleep to no avail.
Treasure Tooth takes Captain Scrooge to the past, where he, Mr. Smee, Red Jessica, and Captain Flynn were kids playing a game. Flynn won the game and the treasure full of strawberries, but Captain Scrooge was furious that he didn't win the game and the strawberries; however, Flynn was happy to share his treasure with Scrooge, but the greedy pirate took the chest and the map and put them in a hiding place where they'd never find it. Treasure Tooth tells Captain Scrooge that what he did there was very selfish. Captain Scrooge tries to get the map, but Treasure Tooth stops him, and takes him back to his own time.
There, Captain Scrooge wakes up, and assumes that it was all a dream. He then orders his crew to wake up, as there's treasure to be found. They are looking for his map, which he lost long ago. Captain Scrooge finds it in a tiki, and Jake states that whatever treasure the map is leading to would be perfect to share at the Great Pirate Feast. However, Captain Scrooge still refuses to share, and orders his crew to find the treasure and be quick about it. He then bumps into Treasure Tooth again, and states that he has more important things to do. Captain Scrooge tries to escape again, but Treasure Tooth stops him from doing so, stating that he is learning his lesson.
He then takes him to the present, where he meets up with his crew on a treasure hunt. They discuss Captain Scrooge's selfish behavior and them feeling better if he never found the treasure. Jake states that it's their job to find the treasure. Treasure Tooth then assumes that Captain Scrooge is thought of by everyone as a greedy, slimy, old sea snake, and will be that way if he doesn't change his ways. Captain Scrooge's crew finds the key to the treasure, and Treasure Tooth brings Captain Scrooge to his own time again.
There, he decides to get the treasure himself when he bumps into Treasure Tooth, who is ready to take him to the future. Once there, Captain Scrooge is on an island with a treasure map containing a note from his crew that states that they found the key and the treasure but not him, so they left the treasure on the island in the hopes that he can enjoy his good fortune. Treasure Tooth mentions that they did so because they are loyal mateys and they don't take stuff that belongs to Captain Scrooge.
Captain Scrooge is about to open the treasure chest when he hears music that signals the start of the Great Pirate Feast. Treasure Tooth tells him to pay no attention to that, but Captain Scrooge wonders to his crew if they do not partake in the Great Pirate Feast, especially Cubby, stating that the coconut crunch cookies make him warm and happy and remind him of why he loves being a pirate. Treasure Tooth tells Captain Scrooge to stop wasting time and open the treasure. He does so, but is still not happy, as he does not want to be alone.
Captain Scrooge is then brought back to the present, where he wakes up while complaining that he does not want to be alone, and notices that he is back in his own time and in his own cabin, and that it is morning. He then wakes up his crew, reminding them that today is the day of the Great Pirate Feast. They are all going, and the feast will have plenty of coconut crunch cookies among others. As for the treasure, Captain Scrooge states that the map belongs to someone very dear to him.
Captain Scrooge and his crew then head to Neverland to have the Great Pirate Feast. Mommy Scrooge then shows up and wishes him a jolly Pirate Feast. Captain Scrooge then gives Red Jessica the map from when they were kids. She now thinks of him as a true gentleman and a great pirate. Treasure Tooth then shows up and congratulates Captain Scrooge for learning his lesson. Captain Scrooge then proposes a very jolly Pirate Feast to everyone and to all a day to share. The story then ends by Jake stating that from that day forward, Captain Scrooge was a good and true pirate who shared his treasure with his mateys. Cubby assumes that if everyone shares their treasure, it brings them all closer together. Captain Hook and his crew then arrive, and he states that he would never be a Captain Scrooge. They then decide to join Jake and his crew in sharing the treasure, which is coconut crunch cookies. Cubby now knows that it's always best to share. Jake then wishes everyone a jolly Pirate Feast, and to all a day to share.

- This episode is the pirate version of the classic A Christmas Carol.
- This episode would mark the second time in all Peter Pan related media that adapt from the story; the first time would be in an episode of Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates, being "Hook's Christmas", with Hook's future being his fear of being forgotten by all.
- When Captain Treasure Tooth takes Scrooge to his past, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Red Jessica, and Captain Flynn can be seen as children.
- Captain Hook has two hands as a child in the past as a young Captain Scrooge, due to Captain Hook had lost his left hand during a fight with Peter Pan when he was an adult.
- This is the fifth half-hour length episode in the series, following "Pirate Genie-in-a-Bottle!", "Jake's Royal Rescue", "Pirate Genie Tales", and "Smee-erella".
