Because Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge (versions prior to 87) do not support the current technical standards and are no longer being supported or updated by Microsoft, we strongly recommend using another browser if you are using assistive technology. Accessibility menu options on your VIZIO SmartCast TV.

Step 1.

Turn on your TV and select the Menu button on your remote. When the sidebar menu appears on your screen, scroll down and select Accessibility.

Step 2.

Scroll down and select each feature to enable, disable, or customize it.

Captions: Enable closed captions, to display the text version of the audio.

Video Description: Enable English audio narration of key visual elements (available for select content).

Talk Back: Enable text-to-speech for any TV settings changes.

Speech Rate: Adjust text-to-speech pacing to slow, normal, or fast.

Zoom Mode: Magnify the TV screen image to 200%.









 

Remote shortcuts.

 

Enable accessibility features
with voice.

Press the microphone button and say the following commands:
“Enable (or Disable) Talk Back”
“Enable (or Disable) Zoom”
“Turn on (or Disable) Closed Captions”
”Enable (or Disable) Subtitles”
(Only available on remotes with a microphone button)

Enable closed captions
with CC button.

Press the CC button to enable Closed Captions. Press the CC button again to disable it. A notification displays on the TV when Closed Captions is enabled or disabled.

Enable accessibility menu
with CC button.

Hold down the CC button for 5 seconds to display the accessibility menu and adjust the settings.

Enable talk back
with PIC button.

Hold down the PIC button for 5 seconds to enable Text-to-Speech. Hold down the PIC button again for 5 seconds to disable it. A notification displays on the TV when talk back is enabled or disabled. (Only available on remotes with a PIC button)

Enable accessibility features with the voice button. Enable closed captions with the cc button. Enable talk back with the pic button.
