چاک پر رکھی خاموشی

دشتِ احساس سے

خیمہٴ ذات تک

دور تک__ رات تک

اک سرابِ سفر،

اور__ فراتِ ہنر؟

تیرے سوکھے کنارے پڑی خاک پر

سارے کوزہ گروں کی بھٹکتی نظر

اپنے ہاتھوں کے پیالوں میں تقدیر کو

دیکھتی ہے… مگر کتنی خاموش ہے

… دشتِ احساس سے

خیمہٴ ذات تک

کوئی جھونکا ہواؤں کا آیا اگر

کوئی لہجہ کمالوں کا آیا اگر

اپنے کوزہ گروں کو کریں گے خبر

…سور ہو تم ابھی… جب تلک رات ہے

نخلِ امکان میں بھی…

کہیں نہ کہیں (اور کبھی نہ کبھی)

کوئی سوغات ہے

ہونے والی کوئی،

کام کی بات ہے!
