جو ترے در پہ رک گئی ہوگی

شائستہ جمال

جو ترے در پہ رک گئی ہوگی

وہ نظر مجھ کو ڈھونڈھتی ہوگی

زندگی بھی اداس راہوں میں

میرے بارے میں سوچتی ہوگی

ان نگاہوں سے واسطہ بھی کیا

جن نگاہوں میں بے رخی ہوگی

دن کی یادوں سے روشنی پا کر

رات سرشار ہو گئی ہوگی

جن کو اپنا پتہ نہیں معلوم

ان سے کیا خاک رہبری ہوگی

سخت راہوں سے بچ کے شائستہؔ

بھاگ جانا تو بزدلی ہوگی

wo nazar mujh ko DhunDhti hogi

zindagi bhi udas rahon mein
mere bare mein sochti hogi

un nigahon se wasta bhi kya
jin nigahon mein be-ruKHi hogi

din ki yaadon se raushni pa kar
raat sarshaar ho gai hogi

jin ko apna pata nahin malum
un se kya KHak rahbari hogi
