زیر ہونے نہ دیا ہمت عالی نے مجھے

زیر ہونے نہ دیا ہمت عالی نے مجھے

سر کشیدہ ہی رکھا سرو‌‌ خیالی نے مجھے

اتنے چہرے تو نہ تھے ارژنگ مانی کو نصیب

جتنے چہرے دئے آئینہ خیالی نے مجھے

میں نے منسوب کیا خون جگر سے ورنہ

شعر بخشے ترے رخسار کی لالی نے مجھے

دل نے رزاق دو عالم کو پکارا کیا کیا

رہ میں روکا جو کسی دست سوالی نے مجھے

یہ قلمروئے سخن ہے تو چلو یوں ہی سہی

ملک تفویض کیا جو مرے والی نے مجھے

zer hone na diya himmat-e-ali ne mujhe
sar-kashida hi rakha sarw-KHayali ne mujhe

itne chehre to na the arzang-e-mani ko nasib
jitne chehre diye aaina-KHayali ne mujhe

main ne mansub kiya KHun-e-jigar se warna
sher baKHshe tere ruKHsar ki lali ne mujhe

dil ne razzaq-e-do-alam ko pukara kya kya
rah mein roka jo kisi dast-e-sawali ne mujhe

ye qalam-ru-e-suKHan hai to chalo yun hi sahi
mulk tafwiz kiya jo mere wali ne mujhe
