دھرتی سے دور ہیں نہ قریب آسماں سے ہم

رؤف خیر

دھرتی سے دور ہیں نہ قریب آسماں سے ہم

کوفے کا حال دیکھ رہے ہیں جہاں سے ہم

ہندوستان ہم سے ہے یہ بھی درست ہے

یہ بھی غلط نہیں کہ ہیں ہندوستاں سے ہم

رکھا ہے بے نیاز اسی بے نیاز نے

وابستہ ہی نہیں ہیں کسی آستاں سے ہم

رکھتا نہیں ہے کوئی شہادت کا حوصلہ

اس کے خلاف لائیں گواہی کہاں سے ہم

محفل میں اس نے ہاتھ پکڑ کر بٹھا لیا

اٹھنے لگے تھے ایک ذرا درمیاں سے ہم

حد جس جگہ ہو ختم حریفان خیرؔ کی

واللہ شروع ہوتے ہیں اکثر وہاں سے ہم

dharti se dur hain na qarib aasman se hum
kufe ka haal dekh rahe hain jahan se hum

hindostan hum se hai ye bhi durust hai
ye bhi ghalat nahin ki hain hindostan se hum

rakkha hai be-niyaz usi be-niyaz ne
wabasta hi nahin hain kisi aastan se hum

rakhta nahin hai koi shahadat ka hausla
us ke KHilaf laen gawahi kahan se hum

mahfil mein us ne hath pakaD kar biTha liya
uThne lage the ek zara darmiyan se hum

had jis jagah ho KHatm harifan-e-'KHair' ki
wallah shuru hote hain aksar wahan se hum
