نیرنگیٔ خیال پہ حیرت نہیں ہوئی

نیرنگیٔ خیال پہ حیرت نہیں ہوئی

مجھ کو کسی کمال پہ حیرت نہیں ہوئی

میری تباہ حالی کو بھی دیکھ کر اسے

حیرت ہے میرے حال پہ حیرت نہیں ہوئی

پوچھا تھا میں نے جب اسے کیا مجھ سے عشق ہے؟

اس کو مرے سوال پہ حیرت نہیں ہوئی

دیکھا جو ایک عمر کے بعد اس نے آئنا

خود اپنے خد و خال پہ حیرت نہیں ہوئی

اک عمر سے میں رفتۂ رفتار یار ہوں

مجھ کو رم غزال پہ حیرت نہیں ہوئی

آخر غروب ہونا ہی تھا آفتاب عمر

مجھ کو مرے زوال پہ حیرت نہیں ہوئی

وہ شخص اس جہان کا تھا ہی نہیں کبھی

ساحرؔ کے انتقال پہ حیرت نہیں ہوئی

mujh ko kisi kamal pe hairat nahin hui

ek umr se main rafta-e-raftar-e-yar hun
mujh ko ram-e-ghazal pe hairat nahin hui

aaKHir ghurub hona hi tha aaftab-e-umr
mujh ko mere zawal pe hairat nahin hui

wo shaKHs is jahan ka tha hi nahin kabhi
'sahir' ke intiqal pe hairat nahin hui
