زیست ملتی ہے عمر فانی سے

نشور واحدی

زیست ملتی ہے عمر فانی سے

مانگ کچھ اپنی زندگانی سے

اک نظر کا فسانہ ہے دنیا

سو کہانی ہے اک کہانی سے

بات کہہ دی تو بات کچھ نہ رہی

غم ہوا غم کی ترجمانی سے

صبح ہوتی نہیں محبت کی

رات کٹتی نہیں جوانی سے

پھول چنتے ہیں اہل بزم نشورؔ

میری ہر تازہ گل فشانی سے

zist milti hai umr-e-fani se
mang kuchh apni zindagani se

ek nazar ka fasana hai duniya
sau kahani hai ek kahani se

baat kah di to baat kuchh na rahi
gham hua gham ki tarjumani se

subh hoti nahin mohabbat ki
raat kaTti nahin jawani se

phul chunte hain ahl-e-bazm 'nushur'
meri har taza gul-fishani se
