مہک سے جسم سیک کے لہو نچوڑتی ہے وہ

مہک سے جسم سیک کے لہو نچوڑتی ہے وہ

عجب فقیر شخص ہو! قریب بیٹھتی ہے وہ

کسی کی عمر کھا گئیں، کسی کو خواب کر دیا

میں بس بتاتا رہ گیا کہ ایسے گھورتی ہے وہ

دکھائی دیں وہ پانیوں سے دُور مرتی مچھلیاں

یہ جان لو کہ چھوڑنے پہ ایسے چھوڑتی ہے وہ

بہت عجیب پھول ہے، چمک سے اضطراب ہے

میں پیار بولتا ہوں اور منہ بسورتی ہے وہ

مجھے خبر ہے جانِ من! میں موت کے سفر پہ ہوں

مجھے خبر ہے پھول لے کے تیر کھینچتی ہے وہ

میں شعر کہتا رہ گیا کہ شاید اِس پہ ہاں کہے

یہ بعد میں پتہ چلا کہ جیب دیکھتی ہے وہ
