نہ سمجھے دل فریب آرزو کو

حسرت موہانی

نہ سمجھے دل فریب آرزو کو

نہ ہم چھوڑیں تمہاری جستجو کو

تری تلوار سے اے شاہ خوباں

محبت ہو گئی ہے ہر گلو کو

وہ منکر ہو نہیں سکتا فسوں کا

سنا ہو جس نے تیری گفتگو کو

تغافل اس کو کہتے ہیں کہ اس نے

مجھے دیکھا نہ محفل میں عدو کو

نہیں پانی تو مے خانے میں اے شیخ

جو کچھ موجود ہے لاؤں وضو کو

سمجھتا ہی نہیں ہے کچھ وہ بد خو

نہ خود مجھ کو نہ میری آرزو کو

نہ بھولا گھر کے اعدا میں بھی حسرتؔ

ترے فرمودۂ لاتقنطو کو

na samjhe dil fareb-e-arzu ko
na hum chhoDen tumhaari justuju ko

teri talwar se ai shah-e-KHuban
mohabbat ho gai hai har gulu ko

wo munkir ho nahin sakta fusun ka
suna ho jis ne teri guftugu ko

taghaful is ko kahte hain ki us ne
mujhe dekha na mahfil mein udu ko

nahin pani to mai-KHane mein ai shaiKH
jo kuchh maujud hai laun wazu ko

samajhta hi nahin hai kuchh wo bad-KHu
na KHud mujh ko na meri aarzu ko

na bhula ghar ke aada mein bhi 'hasrat'
tere farmuda-e-la-taqnatu ko
