ہم بھی تھے گوشہ گیر کہ گمنام تھے بہت

آصف جمال

ہم بھی تھے گوشہ گیر کہ گمنام تھے بہت

اس طرز زیست میں مگر آرام تھے بہت

دنیا ہے کار خانۂ وہم و گماں تمام

سچے وہی فسانے تھے جو عام تھے بہت

خود اپنے اضطرار طبیعت سے تنگ تھے

ہم جو شکار گردش ایام تھے بہت

لپٹی رہی تو سربسر اسرار تھی وہ زلف

کھلتی کبھی تو اس کے بھی پیغام تھے بہت

اک عمر تجربات میں گزری تو یہ کھلا

یاں آزمودہ کار ہی ناکام تھے بہت

is tarz-e-zist mein magar aaram the bahut

duniya hai kar-KHana-e-wahm-o-guman tamam
sachche wahi fasane the jo aam the bahut

KHud apne iztirar-e-tabiat se tang the
hum jo shikar-e-gardish-e-ayyam the bahut

lipTi rahi to sar-basar asrar thi wo zulf
khulti kabhi to us ke bhi paigham the bahut

ek umr tajrabaat mein guzri to ye khula
yan aazmuda-kar hi nakaam the bahut
