اشک آنکھوں میں بھرے بیٹھے ہو

اخلاق بندوی

اشک آنکھوں میں بھرے بیٹھے ہو

کتنے بزدل ہو ڈرے بیٹھے ہو

تم کو مر کر بھی کہاں مرنا تھا

زندگی میں ہی مرے بیٹھے ہو

کفر بیتاب ہے بیعت کے لیے

اور تم ہو کہ پرے بیٹھے ہو

معرکے یوں کہیں سر ہوتے ہیں

ہاتھ پر ہاتھ دھرے بیٹھے ہو

جو تھے کھوٹے وہ سبھی چل نکلے

اور تم ہو کے کھرے بیٹھے ہو

آ گیا کون تمہیں یاد اخلاقؔ

اس قدر غم سے بھرے بیٹھے ہو

kitne buzdil ho Dare baiThe ho

tum ko mar kar bhi kahan marna tha
zindagi mein hi mare baiThe ho

kufr betab hai baiat ke liye

marke yun kahin sar hote hain
hath par hath dhare baiThe ho

jo the khoTe wo sabhi chal nikle

aa gaya kaun tumhein yaad 'aKHlaq'
