So a couple of months back, the publisher and developer of the “Call of Duty” US military propaganda video game franchise Activision/Infinity Ward were pushing the Black Lives Matter like any other good Woke Capitalist.
But it seems the children have now had their fun, and – as in the UK, where the authorities suddenly went cold on BLM the moment they started questioning when they started becoming too intersectional with Palestinians and the like – they are now being quietly put out to grass by their former corporate champions, with their matchmaking platforms now reportedly censoring mentions of BLM and ACAB (All Cops are Bastards).
> tfw you outlive your usefulness
Now they have gone into outright Red-baiting mode, airing the famous interview with failed Soviet journalist Yuri Bezmenov and idol of the American conservative right in the trailer to the next Call of Duty game.
“Know your history, or be doomed to repeat it,” proclaims IGN, provoking a furious war between Chapos and chuds in the comments.
Well, it is useful to know history.
For instance, the fact that Based Bezmenov’s main beef with the Soviet was that it was “racist” and wouldn’t let him race mix with Indians:
I did not want to marry a fat, white Russian girl. I wanted to marry a slender, dark Indian girl.
I wish I could explain it to your freedom fighters in the United States, who blame America for being racist. It is my country, under Soviet socialism, which is the most racist system in the world. By law in USSR, I was not allowed to marry a foreign girl, and–Marx forbid!–to make love to her, because the Communist Party has control on my genes and chromosomes. I was not allowed to marry into an ‘inferior race,’ and this is something that I have desperately tried to explain to your civil rights activists who blame America.
He was also a fraud who was never actually part of the KGB and who was let go from a range of Western intelligence and journalistic jobs. In other words, the perfect representative of Cuckservatism Inc.
And, come to think of it, also the perfect champion of neoliberalism.txt in the West, synthesizing as he does the following narratives:
- It’s the Russians who are the real racists!
- Americans did nothing wrong.
- Any suggestions to the contrary are Russian active measures and dezinformatsiya!
And, most importantly, the IQ chuds and Magats who constitute the Trump base can be relied upon to lap all this up, in a way that they wouldn’t coming from Rachel Maddow or even the senile neocon boomers at the Lincoln Project.
Dysfunctional or not as American society as a whole might be, but its propaganda apparatus still has game, it needs to be acknowledged.
Please keep off topic posts to the current Open Thread.
If you are new to my work, start here.
Everyone has his reasons for shunning the Soviet Union, even you Anatoly. My question is, was Bezmenov’s complaint about not being able to pursue his Indian lovemate legitimate?
Mr. Karlin’s witty post seems rather about the Anglosphere’s present than about the Soviet past.
Well, he seems to unite both eras quite well, and then focuses on Bezmenov’s original complaint within his “witty” observation. A clarification of the validity of Bezmenov’s original complaint then seems quite in order?…
Refusing his request to sanction a mail order Subcontinental bride ranks up there with banning Fortnite for all time government atrocities, who cares? He even himself characterised it as a selfish whim "I wanted an exotic novelty, not a fat broad!" He didn't even use the facile trope of the repressive government getting in the way of his "One True Love!"
More like
Capitalist pigs.
It’s amusing how they’re going to the Anti-Communist well of our dearly departed defector Bezmenov, because his ancient clips managed to go viral, to push the Anti-Russia memes. The bitter truth is that Bezmenov > Bondarchuk.
Waterloo is a masterpiece. I think I have watched it more times than any other film.
Mátyás Rákosi married a Russified Yakutian woman during his years in the USSR.
If Bezmenov was so against marrying a “fat white woman” he should have just asked his bosses to get him an Central Asian lady.
Obviously, given the times and his work he was not free to marry whomever, but free marriage is a very modern concept and an aberration from a historical perspective.

I realise there’s that Babushka-bomb thingy going on with a lot of Russian women, but not all of them. He just had Curry Fever.
I am deeply embarrassed to admit I fell for this clown’s act back in the day. There are still many reasons to shun Communism but the morality play we were sold in America leaves me deeply resentful as well – at those like Bezemenov who peddled this grift to the West.
Bezmenov was probably lying.
I saw a photo of Georgi Dimitrov with, among others, a young woman with Asiatic features. Apparently she was Chinese and one of his adopted children.
Compared to Americans, that’s obviously true.
Imposed less suffering, which is also obviously true.
No, the implication is that Russian state actors do like to state the case against the two practical truisms above.
And your insults to those on the right that you’ve decided you’re better than, demonstrates a pretty narcissistically nasty side. Do you really feel true while denigrating people like that?

He may have been, I don’t know enough about the specifics of the rules then to tell (and based on his life afterwards he probably defected due to his general ethos rather than due to a particular issue) but I don’t think Bezmenov and Dimitrov’s circumstances are that similar (an adopted child vs a wife meant to tie workers down/prevent them from going native – so I don’t think we can conclude that Bezmenov lied because of Dimitrov’s situation.
If he was really forbidden to marry his Indian sweetheart, it was because of security issues, because she was seen as possible CIA agent. If Bezmenov was really so obssessed with Indian girls, he could easily find Indian looking citizen of Soviet Union and there would be no problems. USSR had people of all races, even few blacks in Abkhazia, and "interracial" marriages were never banned or discouraged.

To be fair, if Russia nuked Warsaw in the 1950’s for technology demonstration purposes (similar to what US did to Hiroshima and Nagasaki), saturation bombed Eastern Europe with napalm and Agent Orange (because capitalism domino theory eventually became true), and ethnic cleansed all the natives properly (say, you are a Ukrainian from Lvov? Here is your tent, a bottle of scotch, and a casino, now get out of here), Russia would have a lot less problems today.
Less complaining about Russia too.
Makes perfect sense at we'll look down on Americans/hate on America to boost our own misplaced and fragile ego row. Russia would have fewer problems had they not embraced communism, in particular, Stalinism.

Complying with the norms within the ranks your family’s societal status is certainly a less odious practice than having your marriage prospects directed by some unknown bureaucrat sitting within a dark and unpropitious office building. Besides, I thought that Marxism/Communism was to remove the barriers of national prejudices?
I’m not convinced that he wasn’t a homo. (And pedophile)
Routinely get conservative friends sending me links to Bezmenov (or as I like to call him без-manhood) youtube also promotes him heavily if you classify as a conservative. Conservatards are drawn to the Soviet dissident for tiresome reasons. There’s little connection between the Soviet Union’s socialism (focused on industrial, technical and artistic accomplishment) and the Anglosphere’s Oligarch-controlled fake antiwhite Bioleninism. American conservatives are just really dull, unimaginative козы, and lap this retarded distraction up. If only our fate were to become the Soviet Union, instead of something like a gay, higher income South Africa/China hybrid.
Bezmenov might be the only man in history who wanted a dark, skinny-fat, sideburn-sporting she-Indian over a Russianess. What a weird guy.

I should have clarified, that he was lying about race prejudice is certain, but that he had to “limit” himself to Soviet citizens I find believable (though not necessarily true, since, again, I don’t know the specifics of his occupation and the times).
You can tell that this guy was a phony by his name – which correctly spelled should be Bezimenov – which of course means “Without a name”.
Based on what he stood for, it seems right that he didn’t deserve to have a name.

It would be really funny if some hacker broke into their servers and forced a patch using deepfake so that he made much the same speech but ended it by asking the J question.
Central Asian women probably weren’t dark enough for him, though.

FWIW, the videos I’d seen, he claimed he defected because he was appalled at USSR fomenting of revolution in Kashmir. Possibly he said different things depending on who was listening, or who was paying.
My question re: Bezmenov: is it necessary for him to be what he said he was? He’s like Q: sure, it’s a load of old bollocks, and maybe none of the particulars check out. But it’s not actually wrong, is it?
What I mean is, the brainwashing/propaganda process he described, at least in the video that I saw, seemed to be right on the money. Even if his timeline was wrong; even if the actions he ascribed to the KGB were more properly the actions of an independently motivated pinko class within the USA; even if he was overegging the pudding to squeeze money out of the John Birchers, or whoever it was; and even if he was a total fraud: is it not correct to say that the US has been, in his terminology, “demoralised”? Is that not a useful idea to float?
Hopefully it will still get an airing now that he’s been co-opted by the Russiagate crowd.

Eastern European counties were also internationally recognized counties, therefore, at any hint of pro- capitalist movement, it’s napalm and Agent Orange for them. Legitimate to achieve what end? My view is that after “nuked” the nips, they could back-slide on their terms and permit the Showa to continue his reign. The atomic attacks were senseless atrocities that achieved no worthy objective.
A lot of people here seem to forget that the soviet union was around for a long time. The initial bolshivism really was a nightmare. They had looting of resources, destruction of churches, deathsquads, etc.
Over time it turned from somethint really crazy into something oppressive but stable.
It is conceivable to me that bezmenov really did understand how communism spreads and how horrible it can be.
If you asked an american dissident to talk about democracy they could probably tell you something just as bad as what bezmenov revealed. He would tell you about human rights ngos and peaceful protests and color revolutions. Then after democracy gets installed you are left with homomania, negro worship, race replacement, drug addiction, crime that is not prosecuted, and corruption on par with africa.
I dont buy 100 percent that bezmenov was a simple grifter because was a marginal character that only got a small amount of recognition from the john birtch society that was focused on pushing skepticism of communism without talking about jews.
How much can you really make from a few appearances with the john birtch society?
Perhaps. What exactly was his issue with Russian women?
You jest, but the point probably still stands: Jews don’t secretly control your country, but your government does, and their methods are probably very similar to what’s in that book. (I wouldn’t know, I haven’t read it.)

I know Noah's mother is black - perhaps that formula was more common in Apartheid South Africa. Still, she and Noah should have been deported to the Congo, as well as the "father." Even if blacks problems are not really caused by not having a father in the home, bastardy is probably inherently dysgenic, and should not be encouraged on that level.Replies: @utu

For me the election of Obama was a proof of the complete death of classical/traditional European values among the masses, a literal negro bastard in the highest position of the west. Yes there were and still are right wingers who dont like his racial backroung, but it seems that for everybody his bastardy was not a problem. Literally no one even spoke about it. A true sign of our times. Some older members of the liberal establishment must have noticed the lack of talk on that issue and felt a great sense of joy, for their “progress” has truly become hegemonic or paramount in our era.
More like a somewhat rather than completely analogous situation, and I was thinking more of Rakosi and his Yakut wife.
The same disintegration of millenium old morality can be seen in the UK. Boris Johnson’s string of bastards and deceived wives and mistresses is completely ignored. It is a triumph of socialist morality.

If anything, socialism is about joyless intolerance and the fanatic's hatred of complexity and freedom.
Sure, some socialists, at some points, have argued against prevailing moral attitudes as regards sex, but only in order to impose their own, even more pristine, ones.
“it seems that for everybody his bastardy was not a problem”
I knew the British working class was heading South and that Thatcher had been utterly beaten in the culture wars when fans stopped singing “Who’s your father, referee?” at soccer matches. Probably mid-late 80s.
One probable reason why they stopped was that by that time the welfare-funded Brit underclass was expanding and an increasing proportion of the fans would themselves be bastards – not true in the 70s or before.
It’s also a harsh critique of more mainstream politicians that people are desperate for their increasing immiseration to stop, and Trump and Johnson were the only candidates offering hope.
It may be ever thus – IIRC the best and fiercest guerrillas in WW2 Crete were spivs and criminals in civilian life.

"I’m not for a loose definition of who is white." - One drop of blood rule lead to creating anti-white population while having gradation of mixtures like in Brazil creates non binary spectrum where some non-white segments are not necessarily anti-white because of the lack of the single drop of blood rule.

It used to be a funny joke in old movies, where some politician would be giving a speech, and someone would pay a little black boy to work his way through the crowd and say “dada” or something. I guess Hollywood has changed a great deal for the worse.
Fundamentally, I think progs can’t accept bastardy as a problem because they don’t believe in dysgenics.
I dont mean that bastardy should be an unsurmountable obstacle in ones life, but still never should the king be a bastard, for it often suggests that her mother has moral shortcomings, which could have affected the upbringing of her offspring, also presidents like kings are the symbols of the nation. What kind of message that sends to the womenfolk? Be loose and it does not affect the success of your children.
As always we lack of the Aristotelian Golden mean or Buddha’s middle path, in old times bastardy was a huge sign of shame and great source of misfortune for illegitimate children, a bit too much in my opinion, but now society believes in other extreme, that it doesn’t matter at all. Same thing has occured with societys treatment of lgbt people, or pandikas like they are called in the Buddhist texts. Although Christianity is historically probably the most friendly or accepting religion towards homosexuals.
Some things don’t change. A fan foolishly had it announced over the tannoy that his girl friend had accepted his marriage proposal, and thousands of fans roared “Does she take it up the arse?”
Although not with a black woman, Grover Cleveland had an illegitimate child, and his election opponents used it. “Ma, Ma, where’s Pa?” He won the election and his supporters added “Gone to the White House ha ha ha!”
Mass unemployment took off under Thatcher, and was pretty devastating to families. If Thatcher believed in the family, her policies said otherwise.
But so did mass bastardy, benefit-funded. She lost her culture wars, or her misters lost them for her.
He may have been jilted. To me, his use of the phrase “fat, white Russian woman” suggests xenophilia. I also think it is possible that he was gay. Back then, it was easy to buy that kind of thing in India. Call me a prude, but I put off by his picture with naked boys at the beach.
But yes there is some hypocrisy in it...

My point was just to note that not everything the OP morally disapproves of is “socialism”. Certainly not the practice of having mistresses.
If anything, socialism is about joyless intolerance and the fanatic’s hatred of complexity and freedom.
Sure, some socialists, at some points, have argued against prevailing moral attitudes as regards sex, but only in order to impose their own, even more pristine, ones.
French. He spent a lot of his time during The Commonwealth in the French court. The morals must have rubbed off on him.
I'm not for a loose definition of who is white. But I am for causing fissures among blacks and partos. This does not require a loose definition, but the use of other terms. Inoffensive terms rejected by progs, not by principled racists.
“Do you know what the illegitimacy rate is? IIRC, 78%. Latin America is fucked.” – This is because of low divorce rate. Many children are born to couples who are reluctant to get married but among which many will eventually get married. Chile has 3% of divorce rate while Russia has 51% divorce rate. So what is a bigger problem: children born to unmarried but functioning couples or children abandoned by one of the parent because of easy divorce?
“I’m not for a loose definition of who is white.” – One drop of blood rule lead to creating anti-white population while having gradation of mixtures like in Brazil creates non binary spectrum where some non-white segments are not necessarily anti-white because of the lack of the single drop of blood rule.
” she and Noah should have been deported to the Congo, as well as the “father.” ” – Sounds like spouted by a yahoo who haven’t thought things through because he knows that his thoughts and words are inconsequential anyway.
FYI, "One drop rule" is just black pablum. Many words were in use to describe black gradations in the US, mulatto, even octoroon. They are words progs don't like, not racists. Next you'll be saying that Europeans invented "chattel slavery."Replies: @utu

Most of the most prominent Klephts were of Greek ethnic origin. They could not have been of Aromanian or Slavic origin as Klephtouria (the culture of the Klephts) was primarily concentrated in the Peloponnese where there were few Aromanians and Slav-speakers. Regarding Albanians, perhaps you are referring to the Arvanites of Souli. The origins of the Arvanites is obscure but they were definitely Orthodox and bilingual on the eve of the Revolution. They were also very strong supporters of Greek liberty. The Souliotes were not considered Klephts and their home was in Epiros not the Peloponnese.
Okay maybe only Greeks were klepths, but you cant deny that there was somewhat similar culture of mountain bandits/brigands all over the Balkans, especially in Epirus, which had lots of Albanians, like Ali Pasha and those Souli.
“mass unemployment took off under Thatcher”
But so did mass bastardy, benefit-funded. She lost her culture wars, or her misters lost them for her.

Poor utu – always seeking a black alliance against Jews and always burned, and pretending it is because whites need to try harder. I suppose you think Noah was an ally of whites in South Africa – you think that was why they hired him? Did you know his mother converted to Juadaism? But I guess you would still embrace her as an ally against Schlovo.

“Naked boys at the beach”? Karlin forgot to include that pix. That’s Okay, I’ll take your word for it. 🙂
David Hockney, one of my favorite visual artists of the late 20th century, a homosexual, liked to occasionally dabble in this sort of fare. Now before you go off on me, you wouldn’t go nuts deploring Tchaikovsky’s music, also a known homosexual?
I wonder what percentage of defectors were gay. There were probably efforts to filter them from foreign stays, due to the threat of blackmail, but otherwise I would expect they'd be overrepresented, since the West was much more lax, as a society, in that regard.Replies: @Mr. Hack, @Jaakko Raipala
Sure
My point though was that ideologies range wider than “socialism” and Cromwellian Puritanism
That’s interesting – I didn’t know about Tchaikovsky. And he had a gay brother and I believe also a gay nephew. Makes me think a bit of Baryshnikov, since he danced to the music.

I’m sure that there were some, but generally homosexuals don’t comprise more that 1% of the general population, so I don’t think that they were much overrepresented in those that defected…
In the nineties, when more and more former ex-Soviet citizens were applying for US citizenship or green card status, a lot were claiming that they were Jewish and had experienced discrimination back home (even if they weren’t and hadn’t). US immigration personnel were starting to hear too many of the same old stories from too many applicants and were becoming less and less sympathetic to their pleas for asylum. Some, decided to change their stories and claim that they were gay, hoping that their requests would be given a more sympathetic hearing. I have no idea what new stories and identities are being used today?…
I also wondered whether our society is so corrupt that gays could be grooming people from the third world, in exchange for help immigrating.

Homosexuals were also much more likely to be estranged from their families. The big limit to defection is the unwillingness of most people to leave their relatives behind and potentially never talk to them again.
If anything, Boris Johnson is fulfilling the millennium-old moral traditions of the British. Before he was the Conqueror, William was the Bastard. And English kings for centuries had litters of Fitzroys running around. Siring bastards has always been common among men of high status and low piety.
His complaint is retarded, what kind of question is this?
Refusing his request to sanction a mail order Subcontinental bride ranks up there with banning Fortnite for all time government atrocities, who cares? He even himself characterised it as a selfish whim “I wanted an exotic novelty, not a fat broad!” He didn’t even use the facile trope of the repressive government getting in the way of his “One True Love!”
Some months ago, I saw a strange ad for an NGO that seemed to be primarily concerned with importing gays from the third world to metro areas in Canada. Even given the political power that gays have, I thought it really odd at the time. Some of them obviously had HIV.
I also wondered whether our society is so corrupt that gays could be grooming people from the third world, in exchange for help immigrating.
Obama’s parents were married when he was born. His bastardy wasn’t spoken of because he wasn’t one.
Thank you for the correction. I was greatly mistaken then.

“Poor utu”– This is not about utu. This about your logic and quality of your arguments that I tried to point to in your comment that caught my attention. By switching to utu and your theories of what are utu’s intentions you do not escape crappiness of your ideas that you are unable to defend coherently.
