Sponsorship Requests
The Gazette is passionately independent champions of connecting, informing and enriching our communities. Aligned to this mission is our commitment to give back. We believe in taking care of each other. Our greatness comes not from what we have, but what we give.
The following outlines a variety of The Gazette support:
Media Sponsorship or Partnership
A collaborative agreement that offers event and program resources in exchange for an opportunity to engage with the audience served.
- Events must be open to the public
- Requests are considered based on resource availability and alignment to The Gazette mission and brand platform
- News and Editorial coverage will be separate from any sponsor or media partner agreement
- Requests must be submitted at least six weeks in advance of the program or event with a minimum of one meeting with requestor to discuss the request. If approved, a scope of agreement will be created
Please submit your request in writing to [email protected] or call 319-398-8240
The Gazette Gives Back
The Gazette Gives Back is an annual program providing over $525,000 in free advertising credits to area nonprofits throughout the calendar year. A call for applications occurs in August, and selected participants are announced in October, along with details on the voting campaign. Visit thegazette.com/givesback for full details.
Community Notes and Community Calendar
Submit details about your upcoming program or event for free at hooplanow.com (click on Submit an Event). All submissions are pre-approved before going live on the event calendar. See www.hooplanow.com for full details. Send a copy of your community announcement to [email protected] for consideration of posting within the Community Notes section of The Gazette.
Press Releases
A press release is a notification to the news division that may focus on an upcoming community event or initiative. PLEASE NOTE: Sending a press release does not guarantee coverage. A press release gives the news division staff the necessary information to consider for community briefs, preview stories or other means of coverage. News coverage is separate from any media sponsorship agreements. View our guidelines for press releases. Press releases may go to Quinn Pettifer, [email protected], for assistance connecting to news division contacts. Please consider sending the release a minimum of three weeks prior to community events.
