CEDAR RAPIDS — A fried chicken restaurant is reopening after a long absence in Cedar Rapids.
Signs for the restaurant have reappeared at 4330 16th Ave. SW in Cedar Rapids — a space previously home to Highway 30 Diner, which moved to 1519 Sixth St. SW in June.
A social media post from the apparent franchise owner of the new Harold’s Chicken said the location would open in January.
Harold’s Chicken previously had two stints in Cedar Rapids, the last of which opened in 2017 at the Roosevelt building in downtown Cedar Rapids. It’s unclear when the restaurant last closed.
