Van-tastic donation by Lions.
WARWICK Lions Club has put the wheels in motion for the growing success of Myton Hamlet Hospice's charity shops. This week club members presented the hospice with a van so it can collect more furniture from homes and businesses to either sell in the organisation's 10 shops or donate to patients.
The Warwick-based hospice were presented with the van by Warwick Lions president Jon Dodd yesterday.
Pauline Walker, Myton shops co-ordinator, said: "Our drivers, two full- time and one part-time, are always under great pressure because of the demand for the service and that's why we were desperate for this van.
"Now we can pick up larger pieces of furniture like special baths and orthopaedic chairs because it's bigger than the other vans."
Some Lions members have also volunteered to help their collections.
