Rhodes' pledge on key striker.
Byline: MARK CURRIEWREXHAM managing director David Rhodes last night confirmed that two 'unnamed' clubs had made offers to buy striker Craig Faulconbridge.
But Rhodes insisted that the 24-year-old was going nowhere - at least in the short term.
"We have only 20 senior professionals at the club and Craig is a very important part of the team, " he said.
"It would be extremely difficult to find a replacement for him and we want to build on the squad we have here."
Late last week, Wycombe Wanderers' boss Lawrie Sanchez expressed an interest in buying Faulconbridge.
Also thought to be in the chase for the striker are fellow second division rivals, Oldham Athletic.
Wrexham are keeping their fingers crossed that midfielder Darren Ferguson has escaped the threat of a Welsh FA disciplinary hearing in the wake of his dismissal for two cautions during the game against Colchester United.
Match referee Mark Cowburn said he had been forced to take evasive action when Ferguson kicked the ball towards him after being shown a second yellow card and was planning to record the incident in his match report.
But Rhodes said the documentation regarding Ferguson's automatic one-match ban contained no reference to any further disciplinary proceedings.
The club's supporters are being asked to give Wrexham their views about kick-off times for evening matches.
