Hockey: JOLLY GOOD SCOTS SHOW.

SCOTLAND boosted their chances of qualifying for next year's hockey World Cup with a splendid 4-0 victory over Belgium in Amiens last night.

The first goal came in the 26th minute when a long pass from Sue Fraser found Sue McDonald in the circle and her quick turn and finish was one of the strikes of the tournament.

From a penalty corner in the 44th minute, Claire Lampard took the direct route to goal for the second.

Ali Grant notched the third in the 57th minute after a neat double switch deflected in by Ali Grant.

Scotland's fourth goal came nine minutes from time when Helen Walker combined with McDonald before Rhona Simpson tapped in.
