Brenda's radio hurrah.

A WOMAN who launched a petition to keep RUGBY FM the last time it was on air, has welcomed the station being granted a permanent radio licence.

Brenda Evans, of Omega Place, Rugby, chanced upon the station while trying to retune her radio and became hooked during the second trial broadcast last autumn.

She said: "I was completely behind Rugby FM as soon as I heard it and I'm absolutely delighted to hear the news. I wish them every success for the future."

RUGBY FM's backers include the Rugby Evening Telegraph.
